秋の風が日本の住宅街を吹き抜け、紅葉が色とりどりのじゅうたんのように道沿いに広がっている。

The autumn wind blows through a Japanese residential neighborhood, and the colorful foliage spreads along the road like a carpet.

あちらこちらからハロウィンのかぼちゃやコウモリの飾りが見え、空気には落ち葉の香りが漂っている。

From here and there, Halloween pumpkins and bat decorations can be seen, and the scent of fallen leaves drifts in the air.

この日、ハルトは少し興奮していた。

On this day, Haruto was a little excited.

彼は近所で一番すごいハロウィンの飾り付けをしたいと思っていた。

He wanted to have the most amazing Halloween decorations in the neighborhood.

その理由の一つは、特にアイコに感心してもらいたいからである。

One reason was that he especially wanted to impress Aiko.

しかし、ハルトは少しおっちょこちょいだ。

However, Haruto is a bit clumsy.

彼は準備した飾りを抱え、自分の家とアイコさんの家をうっかり間違えてしまった。

While carrying the decorations he had prepared, he accidentally mistook his house for Aiko-san's house.

カボチャランタンやコウモリの飾りをアイコの家の敷地内に飾りつけ始めた。

He started putting up the pumpkin lanterns and bat decorations in Aiko's yard.

しかし、彼はそれに気付かず、飾り付けを続ける。

But he didn't notice and continued decorating.

そのころ、アイコとケンジが帰宅する。

Around that time, Aiko and Kenji returned home.

彼らは自分たちの家がハロウィンの飾りでいっぱいになっているのを見てびっくりする。

They were surprised to see their house filled with Halloween decorations.

見たこともないかぼちゃが階段に置かれ、ドアには不気味な顔の飾りが吊るされていた。

Unfamiliar pumpkins were placed on the stairs, and the door was adorned with decorations of spooky faces.

「誰がこんなことをしたんだろう？」と不思議に思うふたり。

"Who did this?" they wondered in amazement.

その夜、ハルトは自分の失敗に気がついた。

That night, Haruto realized his mistake.

彼は「どうしようか？」と悩む。

He pondered, "What should I do?"

やがて静かに飾りを取り戻そうと試みるが、階段を上っている途中で足を滑らせ、ドアにぶつかってしまう。

Eventually, he quietly attempted to retrieve the decorations, but as he climbed the stairs, he slipped and bumped into the door.

その音でアイコとケンジがドアを開けると、ハルトは驚いた表情で凍り付いた。

The noise prompted Aiko and Kenji to open the door, and Haruto froze in shock.

「ハルトさん？」とアイコは尋ねた。

"Haruto-san?" Aiko asked.

「何してるの？」

"What are you doing?"

ハルトは顔を赤らめて、すべてを打ち明けた。

Haruto, blushing, confessed everything.

「ごめんなさい、間違えてしまいました」と謝った。

"I'm sorry, I made a mistake," he apologized.

すると、ケンジがにっこりして、「面白いじゃないか！一緒に飾り付けをしようよ！」と提案した。

Then, Kenji smiled and suggested, "Isn't this funny! Let's decorate together!"

ハルトは驚いたが、嬉しくなり、「ぜひお願いします！」と返事をした。

Haruto was surprised but delighted, and replied, "Yes, please!"

その後、三人で力を合わせて両方の家を飾り付けることになった。

After that, the three of them worked together to decorate both houses.

笑いながら、ハルトは自分の不注意を反省し、助け合うことの大切さを学んだ。

Laughing, Haruto reflected on his carelessness and learned the importance of helping each other.

ハロウィンの夜、ふたつの家はピカピカに輝き、近所のみんながそれを見に来た。

On Halloween night, the two houses shone brightly, and everyone in the neighborhood came to see them.

ハルト、アイコ、ケンジは楽しい時間を過ごし、ハルトは一人ではなく、仲間と共に何かをすることの楽しさを知ったのだった。
