横須賀基地の朝、海風が涼しく、秋の始まりを感じさせました。

On a morning at Yokosuka Base, the sea breeze was cool, hinting at the start of autumn.

若い海軍将校のハルトが基地の中を歩いていました。

A young naval officer, Haru, was walking through the base.

彼は静かに自分の文化と繋がりたいという気持ちを抱えています。

「お月見をしよう」と彼は思いました。

"Let's have an otsukimi," he thought.

基地内の倉庫で、ハルトは仲間のユキとサトシに相談しました。

In the base's warehouse, Haru consulted with his peers Yuki and Satoshi.

「一緒にお月見の準備をしよう」　と、彼は話しました。

"Let's prepare for otsukimi together," he said.

「いいね、手伝うよ」とサトシが言いました。

"Sounds good, I'll help," said Satoshi.

「彼らに日本の文化を見せてあげよう」

"Let's show them Japanese culture."

ハルトたちは基地の近くの店に装飾品を買いに行きました。

Haru and his friends went to a nearby store to buy decorations.

秋の葉、すすき、提灯を手に入れようとしました。

They tried to get autumn leaves, pampas grass, and lanterns.

しかし、その装飾品の船便が遅れていることを知ります。

However, they learned that the shipment of those decorations was delayed.

「どうしようか」とユキが心配そうに尋ねました。

"What should we do?" Yuki asked worriedly.

それでもハルトは諦めませんでした。

「手作りでやろう」とハルトが提案しました。
