The sweet scent of azaleas drifts through the air, clear and refreshing under the sunny sky.

この美しい日、ユミは大きな決断をした。

On this beautiful day, Yumi made a big decision.

ハルとケンタとの古い友情を修復したいと強く願っていたのだ。

She strongly wished to mend the old friendship with Haru and Kenta.

彼らとの間には、過去の誤解と衝突が横たわっていた。

There were past misunderstandings and conflicts lying between them.

ユミは、その緊張を解き放ちたかったが、自分の中にある恐れが彼女を惑わしていた。

ユミは深呼吸をし、ハルとケンタに声をかける。「あのね、話したいことがあるの。」

Yumi took a deep breath and called out to Haru and Kenta. "Hey, there's something I want to talk about."

ハルは慎重な表情で頷いた。

Haru nodded with a cautious expression.

ケンタは笑みを浮かべ、少し不安そうな表情を隠した。「いいよ、話して。」

Kenta smiled, trying to hide a slightly anxious look. "Sure, let's talk."

ユミは続けた。「昔のことは忘れたくないけど、続けることもできない。

Yumi continued, "I don't want to forget the past, but I can't keep going like this.

あなたたちとの友情を大切にしたい。だから、もう一度、ゆっくり話をしよう。」

I want to cherish our friendship. So, let's take the time to talk things over again."

ハルは少し考え込んだが、やがて柔らかく微笑んだ。「わかった。私もそれがいいと思う。」

Haru thought for a moment, then eventually smiled softly. "I understand. I think that's a good idea too."

ケンタは元気に頷いた。「そうそう！また、楽しいことをしようよ！」

Kenta nodded energetically. "Yes, exactly! Let's do fun things again!"

三人はしばらくパレードを眺めながら、何でもない雑談を続けた。
