ゴールデンウィークの初日、富士山の麓は花見を楽しむ人々で賑わっていました。

On the first day of Golden Week, the foothills of Mount Fuji were bustling with people enjoying the cherry blossom viewing.

空気は澄んでいて、桜が鮮やかに咲き誇っています。

The air was clear, and the cherry blossoms were in full, vibrant bloom.

空（そら）、愛子（あいこ）、健太（けんた）は、興奮した様子で登山の準備をしていました。

Sora, Aiko, and Kenta were excitedly preparing for their hike.

「今日は絶好の登山日和だね！」と愛子が嬉しそうに言いました。

“Today is the perfect day for hiking!” Aiko exclaimed happily.

彼女は小さいころから空の親友です。

She has been Sora's best friend since childhood.

二人は久しぶりの再会に心を躍らせていました。

Both were excited about their long-awaited reunion.

「そうだね。でも天気予報では午後から嵐になるかもしれないって」と空が少し心配そうに答えました。

“That’s right. But the weather forecast says there might be a storm this afternoon,” Sora replied with a hint of concern.

彼は都会の喧騒を忘れて、富士山の頂上で心の平和を見つけることを望んでいます。

He hopes to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and find peace of mind at the summit of Mount Fuji.

「心配しないで、僕たちは一緒にいるから大丈夫さ」と健太が言いました。

“Don’t worry, we’ll be fine as long as we’re together,” Kenta said.

彼は空の職場の同僚で、友人との冒険を期待して参加しました。

He is Sora's colleague from work and joined the adventure looking forward to spending time with friends.

山を登り始めた三人は順調に進みました。

The three of them began their ascent up the mountain and progressed smoothly.

「一人で進むことはできるけど...」と空が言いかけました。

「でも、私たち皆が大事だよね」と愛子が静かに言いました。
