冬のある日、小さな町の茶屋「春風亭」では、ノリという若い女性が働いていました。

One winter day in a small town, a young woman named Nori was working at the tea house called "Shunputei."

茶屋は暖かく、紙のランタンがやわらかい光を放ち、緑茶の良い香りが漂っています。

The tea house was warm, with paper lanterns casting a soft glow and the pleasant aroma of green tea drifting through the air.

外には雪がしんしんと降り、町を静かな冬の景色に変えていました。

Outside, snow was steadily falling, turning the town into a quiet winter scene.

その日、ノリはカウンターの下から古い箱を見つけました。

That day, Nori found an old box beneath the counter.

中には、ホコリをかぶった手紙が一枚。

Inside was a dust-covered letter.

宛名には「花」と書かれていました。花はノリの姉。

The letter was addressed to "Hana." Hana was Nori's older sister.

しかし、花は10年前に突然町から姿を消しました。

However, Hana had suddenly disappeared from the town ten years ago.

「カイト、この手紙を見て」と、ノリは幼なじみのカイトに声をかけました。カイトは最近町に戻ってきたばかりでした。

"Kaito, look at this letter," Nori called to her childhood friend Kaito, who had recently returned to town.

「姉さん宛ての手紙なんだけど、よくわからないの。手伝ってくれない？」

"It's a letter addressed to my sister, but I can't really understand it. Can you help me?"

カイトは手紙をじっと見て、「確かに不思議だね。何か手掛かりがあるかも」と答えました。「姉さんの古い荷物を見てみたらどう？」

Kaito stared at the letter and said, "It certainly is mysterious. There might be some clues." He suggested, "Why don't you look through your sister's old belongings?"

ノリは決意しました。姉の昔の持ち物を探して、何か手掛かりを見つけようと。

Nori made up her mind. She would search through Hana's old possessions to find some clues.

そしてカイトと一緒に、町の人々にも聞いて回りました。しかし、誰も花のことを覚えていないようでした。

Together with Kaito, they asked around the town's people, but no one seemed to remember Hana.

何日か後、ノリは花の日記を見つけました。

A few days later, Nori found Hana's diary.

日記の中に隠された小さなメモが見つかりました。

Inside the diary, a small hidden note was discovered.

「森の中、木々が交わる場所で」と書かれていました。それは秘密の会う場所を示しているようでした。

It read, "In the forest, where the trees intersect." It seemed to indicate a secret meeting place.

ノリとカイトは森に向かいました。

Nori and Kaito headed to the forest.

雪が深く、道は険しかったですが、二人は諦めませんでした。

The snow was deep, and the path was treacherous, but the two didn't give up.

そして、そこには姉が埋めたと思われる古い箱がありました。

There, they found an old box that was likely buried by her sister.

箱の中には、花が町を出た理由が綴られた手紙がありました。

Nori cried as she read the letter. But they were not tears of sadness, they were tears of relief.

「姉さんが幸せなら、それでいい」と、ノリはつぶやきました。

"As long as my sister is happy, that's enough," Nori murmured.

ふたりは森を出て、茶屋に戻りました。

The two left the forest and returned to the tea house.

ノリは心の中で姉の決断を受け入れ、静かな幸福を感じました。

Nori accepted her sister's decision in her heart and felt a quiet happiness.

雪はまだ降り続き、町を真っ白にしていましたが、ノリの心には明るい光が灯っていました。
