Giovanni camminava tra i banchi, sorvegliando con attenzione le esposizioni di frutta fresca, verdure e spezie.

Giovanni walked among the stalls, carefully observing the displays of fresh fruits, vegetables, and spices.

Accanto a lui, Luca lo accompagnava, osservando l'ambiente con un'aria rilassata.

Next to him, Luca accompanied him, observing the scene with a relaxed air.

"Oggi devo trovare lo zafferano," dichiarava Giovanni con determinazione.

"Today I must find saffron," declared Giovanni with determination.

"Voglio cucinare un risotto speciale per la cena."

Il mercato era più affollato del solito a causa di un festival estivo, e sembrava che molti banchi avessero venduto le scorte.

The market was more crowded than usual due to a summer festival, and it seemed that many stalls had sold their stocks.

"Dai, Giovanni," disse Luca.

"Come on, Giovanni," said Luca.

"Forse possiamo chiedere a qualcuno.

"Maybe we can ask someone.

Oppure ci dividiamo, così facciamo più in fretta."

Or we can split up to make it quicker."

Ma Giovanni era riluttante a separarsi.

But Giovanni was reluctant to part ways.

"Preferisco restare insieme," ribatté, mentre continuavano a camminare tra la folla.

"I prefer to stay together," he replied, as they continued to walk through the crowd.

Dopo diversi tentativi falliti, videro un banco più in fondo, ancora colmo di spezie.

After several failed attempts, they saw a stall further down still brimming with spices.

Proprio in quel momento, notarono un altro acquirente dirigersi verso lo stesso banco.

Just at that moment, they noticed another shopper heading towards the same stall.

Giovanni si fermò, incerto.

Giovanni stopped, uncertain.

"Che faccio?"

"What should I do?"

chiese Giovanni, con uno sguardo deciso e preoccupato.

"Vai avanti, ma ricorda di essere gentile," consigliò Luca.

Quando finalmente fu la sua occasione, chiese al venditore: "Buongiorno, avete ancora dello zafferano?"

Il venditore sorrise e mostrò l'ultima confezione di zafferano.

Giovanni l'afferrò, grato, e ringraziò sinceramente il venditore.

Mentre si allontanavano dal banco, Giovanni si girò verso Luca con un sorriso di sollievo.

As they walked away from the stall, Giovanni turned to Luca with a smile of relief.

"Grazie per avermi incoraggiato a continuare," disse.

"Thank you for encouraging me to keep going," he said.

"Di niente," rispose Luca.

"You're welcome," replied Luca.

"Sapevo che ce l'avremmo fatta."

"I knew we would make it."

Alla fine, mentre il sole calava sul mercato affollato, Giovanni capì qualcosa di importante.

In the end, as the sun was setting over the crowded market, Giovanni realized something important.

Era riuscito a seguire il suo istinto senza lasciare da parte il valore della pazienza e del lavoro di squadra.
