In a quiet and tidy housing complex, where the grass is always neatly trimmed and the sunlight brightens every corner of the street, Adi and Sari enjoyed their morning.
That day was Nyepi, but they did not celebrate it.
Mereka hanya ingin menikmati suasana damai hari itu.
They just wanted to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the day.
"We should get inside before the afternoon heat," said Adi, who liked to plan everything meticulously.
"Aku sudah menyusun jadwal hari ini."
"I've already arranged today's schedule."
Namun, ketika mereka sampai di depan rumah, semuanya berubah.
However, when they reached the front of the house, everything changed.
"Uh, Sari, you did grab the key, right?" Adi asked anxiously.
Sari just shrugged while smiling embarrassedly, "Oh, it seems like the key was left inside."
Adi menarik napas panjang. "Ya ampun, Sari."
Adi took a deep breath. "Oh dear, Sari."
However, their worries didn't end there.
In front of the house door, a large goose stood proudly, blocking the way.
The goose looked unfriendly; its eyes were sharp and its beak occasionally opened, warning them not to come closer.
Suara angsanya terdengar nyaring, membuat Adi dan Sari mundur beberapa langkah.
The goose's honking sounded loud, causing Adi and Sari to step back a few steps.
"Sepertinya kita harus mengelabui si angsa," usul Adi sambil melihat sekeliling.
"It seems like we have to trick the goose," suggested Adi, looking around.
Ia mencoba memikirkan strategi yang cerdas.
He tried to think of a clever strategy.
Sari, selalu spontan dan penuh keberanian, langsung mengangguk setuju.
Sari, always spontaneous and full of courage, immediately nodded in agreement.
"Kamu coba alihkan perhatiannya, Adi.
"You try to distract it, Adi.
Aku akan cari jendela yang mungkin terbuka!"
I'll look for a window that might be open!"
Adi picked up a stick from the ground and slowly walked towards the goose.
Carefully, he waved the stick in the air, hoping to catch the goose's attention.
However, the goose wasn't dumb, its eyes kept watching Adi suspiciously.
Sementara itu, Sari sibuk memeriksa setiap jendela.
Meanwhile, Sari busily checked each window.
"Ah, there's one slightly open," she murmured excitedly.
Without waiting long, she grabbed the low window that was slightly open and quickly climbed up.
Simultaneously, the goose started moving closer to Adi, as if threatening.
"Ayo cepat, Sari!" teriak Adi ketika angsa mulai mengepakkan sayapnya.
"Hurry up, Sari!" shouted Adi as the goose began flapping its wings.
Just as the goose attacked, Sari managed to get inside the house.
Swiftly, she ran to the front door and opened it from the inside.
"Masuk cepat, Adi!" seru Sari.
"Come in quickly, Adi!" Sari shouted.
Adi ran as fast as he could into the house and shut the door behind him, blocking the goose from entering.
Keduanya terengah-engah tetapi kemudian tertawa lepas.
Both were panting but then burst out laughing.
"Who would've thought we could be outsmarted by a goose," said Sari while laughing.
"Ini gila!" balas Adi, mencoba menahan tawa.
"This is crazy!" replied Adi, trying to hold back his laughter.
"Tapi aku kira spontanitasmu kali ini berguna."
"But I guess your spontaneity was useful this time."
From that day on, Adi learned that although planning is important, sometimes a little spontaneity makes everything more colorful.
And they both agreed that reflecting on this incident, they would never underestimate a goose again.
