The train clattered forward when Bence addressed the man sitting in front of him with a trembling voice.

„Elnézést, tudja, hogy ez a vonat Bécsbe megy?

"Excuse me, do you know if this train is going to Vienna?"

” – kérdezte udvariasan.

The man, Levente, looked up from his newspaper.

„Nem ez a vonat Bécsbe tart, fiatalember.

"This train isn't heading to Vienna, young man.

Ez a vonat Pozsonyba megy.

It's going to Bratislava.

De miért utazol ilyen irányba, ha Bécsbe szeretnél menni?

But why are you traveling in this direction if you want to go to Vienna?"

” – kérdezte nevetve.

he asked, laughing.

„Talán menekülsz valami elől?

"Are you perhaps running away from something?"

”Bence zavartan mosolygott.

Bence smiled awkwardly.

„Nem, csak a barátnőmet szeretném meglepni.

"No, I just want to surprise my girlfriend.

Nem vagyok titkos kém vagy szökevény” – próbálta könnyedre venni a dolgokat.

I'm not a secret agent or a fugitive," he tried to play it off lightly.

Levente derülten elnevette magát.

Levente laughed cheerfully.

„Segítek neked, ne aggódj!

"I'll help you, don't worry!

Bár nekem jobban tetszett volna az a kémes történet” – kacsintott.

Although I would have liked that spy story better," he winked.

Ahogy a vonat haladt, Levente beszélt a kalauzzal.

As the train moved on, Levente spoke to the conductor.

Kiderült, hogy egy kicsi, rejtett állomásán meg tudják állítani a vonatot, ahol Bence át tudott szállni a Bécsbe tartó vonatra.

It turned out that they could stop the train at a small, hidden station where Bence could transfer to the train heading to Vienna.

A kalauz nagyvonalúan segítőkész volt, és így, egy kis kalanddal Bence új útra térhetett.

The conductor was generously helpful, and thus with a little adventure, Bence could start on a new path.
