Ivana se probudila u zoru.
Ivana woke up at dawn.
Sunce polako izlazi iznad Plitvičkih jezera, a zrake svjetlosti nježno obasjavaju park prepun jesenjeg lišća.
The sun slowly rose above Plitvička jezera, and the rays of light gently illuminated the park filled with autumn leaves.
Njene misli su kod obitelji.
Her thoughts were with her family.
Danas je poseban dan.
Today is a special day.
Danas će doći Marko i Luka.
Today, Marko and Luka will come.
Ivana živi u Zagrebu, ali često razmišlja o svojim bratom blizancem Markom i starijim Lukom.
Ivana lives in Zagreb, but she often thinks about her twin brother Marko and their older brother Luka.
Years have passed, and the three of them rarely see each other.
Ivana wants to bring back those days when they were inseparable.
"Moramo imati obiteljsku vezu," pomislila je Ivana dok je hodala prema velikom Slapu.
"We must maintain the family connection," Ivana thought as she walked towards the big waterfall.
She knows that Marko and Luka are a bit tense.
Marko je tvrdoglavi poslovni čovjek, a Luka sanjivi umjetnik.
Marko is a stubborn businessman, while Luka is a dreamy artist.
Njihovi su svjetovi različiti.
Their worlds are different.
All three met at the park entrance.
"Zaista je lijepo ovdje," reče Luka, dok su zlatni i crveni listovi šuškali pod njihovim korakom.
"It really is beautiful here," said Luka, as the golden and red leaves rustled under their steps.
"Predivno je", složio se Marko, iako s rezervom.
"It's wonderful," agreed Marko, albeit with some reservation.
As they walked, Ivana felt the tension between the brothers.
No, odlučna je bila: danas će razgovarati.
However, she was determined: today, they would talk.
Dolazili su do velikog Slapa.
They were approaching the large waterfall.
Piles of leaves shimmered in the sun, and the water fell into the turquoise lake.
"Stigli smo do najboljeg mjesta," reče Ivana s osmijehom.
"We've reached the best spot," said Ivana with a smile.
"Vrijeme je da razgovaramo.
"It's time to talk."
"Svi su sjeli na drvenu klupu, pogled im je bio na vodi.
They all sat on a wooden bench, their gaze fixed on the water.
Ivana je duboko udahnula.
Ivana took a deep breath.
"Sjećate se kad smo bili djeca i vozili bicikle po selu?
"Do you remember when we were kids and rode bikes around the village?"
"Marko i Luka se nasmijaše.
Marko and Luka laughed.
"Uvijek si padala," reče Luka.
"You always fell," said Luka.
"I uvijek ste me podigli," odgovori Ivana sjetno.
"And you always picked me up," replied Ivana nostalgically.
"Uvijek smo bili zajedno.
"We were always together.
Zajedno smo jači.
Together, we're stronger."
"Razgovor se nastavio.
The conversation continued.
A quarrel broke out when Luka and Marko expressed their different views on life.
Ivana je gledala zatečena, ali nije odustala.
Ivana watched, taken aback, but she didn't give up.
"Pogledajte ovo mjesto," nježno je reče.
"Look at this place," she said gently.
"Priznajte koliko je lijepo kad priroda radi zajedno.
"Admit how beautiful it is when nature works in harmony."
"Marko i Luka su na trenutak utihnuli.
Marko and Luka fell silent for a moment.
Gledali su oko sebe, primijetivši kako jesenje boje skladno rade s vodopadom.
They looked around, noticing how the autumn colors harmoniously matched the waterfall.
Ivana je nastavila: "Naša obitelj je najvažnija.
Ivana continued: "Our family is the most important.
I understand that you are different, but that can make us stronger."
"Nakon nekoliko minuta tišine, Marko je nasmiješio Luki.
After a few minutes of silence, Marko smiled at Luka.
"Možda možemo pokušati više razgovarati," rekao je Marko.
"Maybe we can try to talk more," said Marko.
"Da, volio bih imati više vremena zajedno," složio se Luka.
"Yes, I'd like to spend more time together," agreed Luka.
Ivana je osjetila olakšanje.
Ivana felt a sense of relief.
Njih troje nastavili su šetati pored jezera, uživajući u miru parka.
The three of them continued to walk along the lake, enjoying the peace of the park.
They knew they had work to do to rebuild their relationship, but the first step had been taken.
Povratak u Zagreb došao je s obećanjima planiranja novih susreta.
Returning to Zagreb came with promises of planning new meetings.
As they left Plitvička jezera, Ivana knew she couldn't solve all their problems.
But she was sure she could be their connection.
Među šumom prepunom jesenjeg lišća, čula je šapat nade.
Among the forest full of autumn leaves, she heard a whisper of hope.
One never knows when complete harmony will return, but shared steps were already underway.
