Early morning in Zagreb.
The sun had just begun to warm the streets, and the scents of spring filled the air.
Stari dio grada bio je prepun ljudi.
The old part of the city was bustling with people.
Ivana je hodala prema tržnici na Dolcu.
Ivana was walking towards the market at Dolac.
She wanted to find the perfect ingredients for the Easter lunch.
Ivana voli Uskrs.

Njezin dom uvijek je ispunjen radošću i mirisima ukusne hrane.
Her home is always filled with joy and the aromas of delicious food.
Ove godine, Matej dolazi u posjet.
This year, Matej is coming to visit.

Ivana wanted to plan everything perfectly, but Matej liked to improvise.
Arriving at the market, Ivana realized that many stalls were already empty.
"Ovo je ludilo," pomisli.
"This is madness," she thought.
No, nije imala vremena za paniku.
But she didn't have time to panic.
She chose a strategy and headed to the stall where she often shopped.
"Jelena!
"Jelena!"
" pozdravi Ivana vedro.
Ivana greeted cheerfully.
Jelena je uvijek imala najbolje povrće.
Jelena always had the best vegetables.
"Pozdrav, Ivana!
"Hello, Ivana!"
" nasmijana Jelena odgovori.
a smiling Jelena replied.
"Što ti treba danas?
"What do you need today?"
""Treba mi svježa blitva, sir, i jaja.
"I need fresh chard, cheese, and eggs.
Uskrs dolazi, znaš," reče Ivana pomalo zabrinuta.
Easter is coming, you know," Ivana said, somewhat worried.
Jelena kimne.
Jelena nodded.
"Imam sve osim blitve.
"I have everything except chard.
Možda probaš nešto novo?
Maybe try something new?
Imam divne šparoge.
I have wonderful asparagus."
"Ivana oklijeva.
Ivana hesitated.
Nema uobičajenih sastojaka, no šparoge izgledaju svježe i privlačno.
There were no usual ingredients, but the asparagus looked fresh and appealing.
U međuvremenu, Matej je opušteno pregledavao druge štandove.
Meanwhile, Matej was casually browsing other stalls.
Nije primijetio Ivaninu tjeskobu.
He didn't notice Ivana's anxiety.
Vraća se s vrećicom jabuka i osmijehom.
He returned with a bag of apples and a smile.
"Gledaj, našao sam domaće jabuke.
"Look, I found local apples.
Za desert?
For dessert?"
"Ivana se nasmije.
Ivana smiled.
"U redu, Matej.
"Alright, Matej.
Prihvatit ćemo izazov.
We'll take on the challenge."
"Uskršnje jutro bilo je sunčano.
Easter morning was sunny.
The table was full of dishes, a mix of traditional and new.

The asparagus was a treat.
Matej i obitelj kušali su sve s uživanjem.
Matej and family tasted everything with enjoyment.
"Ovo je sjajno, Ivana," reče Matej.
"This is great, Ivana," said Matej.
"Nisam znao da šparoge mogu biti ovako dobre.
"I didn't know asparagus could be this good."
