  • Krešo je sjedio za svojim stolom, gledajući promrzle snježne pahulje kroz staklene zidove ureda.

Krešo sat at his desk, watching the frostbitten snowflakes through the glass walls of the office.

It was just after the New Year frenzy, when everyone was returning to work.

The office was modern, with shiny desks and spacious work areas.

  • Ipak, unatoč hladnom vremenu vani, u Kreši su ključale emocije.

Yet, despite the cold weather outside, emotions were boiling within Krešo.

His problem was simple, yet catastrophic.

He had sent an email about his secret crush on his colleague Marina, not just to her, but to the entire office.

  • Srce mu je preskočilo kad je shvatio pogrešku.

His heart skipped a beat when he realized the mistake.

Krešo was a junior analyst, ambitious and often career-focused, but now this gaffe could cost him dearly.

Marina was a cheerful and capable project manager, always warm and kind to everyone.

Until now, she was unaware of Krešo's feelings, and he wanted it to stay that way—for now, at least.

Luka, their colleague, was a technical expert, but also a master of teasing.

  • "Slušaj, Luka", započne Krešo gotovo molećivim tonom, "moraš mi pomoći. Poslao sam e-mail cijelom uredu o Marini."

"Listen, Luka," Krešo began in an almost pleading tone, "you have to help me. I sent an email to the whole office about Marina."

  • Luka je podigao obrvu, smiješeći se. "Stvarno? To je gotovo umjetnički."

Luka raised an eyebrow, smiling. "Really? That's almost artistic."

"It's not funny!" Krešo was desperate. "The system doesn't allow email recall. You have to help me with a plan to prevent Marina from reading that email."

Luka leaned on the top of his desk, looking at Krešo with an expression that always suggested amusement and interest.

  • "Hmm, možda možeš pokušati s nekom distrakcijom. Bolje da požurimo, trenutak je kritičan."

"Hmm, maybe you can try some distraction. We'd better hurry; the moment is critical."

As they talked, the office system suddenly crashed. A technical fault.

  • Računala i e-mailovi više nisu radili.

Computers and emails were no longer working. People gathered in small groups, talking and waiting for everything to get back online.

  • Krešo je vidio ovo kao svoju priliku. Prišao je Marini, nervozan i uzbuđen odjednom.

Krešo saw this as his chance. He approached Marina, nervous and excited all at once.

  • "Marina," počeo je, pokušavajući zvučati smireno, "moram ti nešto reći prije nego što sve proradi. Poslao sam e-mail... ali napravio sam grešku."

"Marina," he began, trying to sound calm, "I need to tell you something before everything starts working again. I sent an email... but I made a mistake."

  • Marina ga je gledala, blaga radoznalost u očima. "Je li sve u redu, Krešo?"

She looked at him, a gentle curiosity in her eyes. "Is everything okay, Krešo?"

  • Udahnuo je duboko. "Bio sam nervozan. Želio sam ti reći nešto što nije trebalo otići cijelom uredu. Možeš li, kad sustav proradi, jednostavno ignorirati taj e-mail?"

He took a deep breath. "I was nervous. I wanted to tell you something that wasn't meant for the whole office. Can you, when the system is back, just ignore that email?"

  • Njena osmijeh bio je nježan i razumijevajući. "Naravno, Krešo. Cijenim što si to mi rekao. Neću ga čitati."

Her smile was gentle and understanding. "Of course, Krešo. I appreciate you telling me. I won't read it."

As the systems gradually came back online, Krešo felt a relief that came from the depths of his soul.

  • Naučio je važnu lekciju o važnosti iskrenosti—i možda, u baš toj iskrenosti, otvorio vrata nečem lijepom s Marinom.

He learned an important lesson about the value of honesty—and perhaps, in that very honesty, opened the door to something beautiful with Marina.

  • Odjednom je bilo lakše disati.

Suddenly, it was easier to breathe.

He walked through the office as the snow outside continued to fall silently, knowing he had done the right thing.
