He walks next to Ivana, the guide, who is speaking to a group of tourists about the history of the arena.

"Ivana, gledaj," Luka šapće Branimiru iza leđa svojih ruku, "ovo je savršena prilika."

"Ivana, look," Luka whispers to Branimir behind his hands, "this is the perfect opportunity."

Branimir podigne obrvu, ne shvaćajući.

Branimir raises an eyebrow, not understanding.

"Što?" Luka se nasmiješi. "Mislio sam ubaciti nekoliko šala."

"What?" Luka smiles. "I thought of throwing in a few jokes."

Ivana ih vodi do sredine arene.

Ivana leads them to the center of the arena.

"Ovo mjesto je staro preko dvije tisuće godina," kaže Ivana strastveno, proširujući ruke prema nebu.

"This place is over two thousand years old," says Ivana passionately, spreading her arms towards the sky.

"Bitke gladijatora, koncerti – sve je ovdje bilo."

"Gladiator battles, concerts – everything took place here."

Luka osjeća da mu srce brže kuca. Ovo je trenutak.

Luka feels his heart beating faster. This is the moment.

"Znači," kaže tiho, "zaista je to bilo vreme gladijatora... ali mislim da danas imamo priliku nasmijati se do suza."

"So," he says quietly, "it really was the time of gladiators... but I think today we have a chance to laugh until we cry."

Ivana ga pogleda, zbunjena, ali nastavlja: "Ovdje su držali lavove."

Ivana looks at him, puzzled, but continues: "They kept lions here."

Luka preuzme. "A danas su tu samo mačke, zar ne?"

Luka takes over. "And today there are only cats, right?"

Turisti se smiju. Ivana zapanjeno zastane, ali osmijeh na njezinim usnama je skriven.

The tourists laugh. Ivana stops in astonishment, but the smile on her lips is hidden.

U trenutku kada je Ivana ometena odgovaranjem na pitanje turista, Luka prigrli svoju priliku.

In the moment when Ivana is distracted by answering a tourist's question, Luka seizes his opportunity.

"Znate li zašto gladijatori nisu imali pretplatu na novine?" pita grupu.

"Do you know why gladiators didn't have a newspaper subscription?" he asks the group.

"Jer su 'sve bitke' čitali uživo!"

"Because they read 'all the battles' live!"

Kako glasni smijeh odjekuje arenom, Ivana se vraća pažnji na grupu.

As loud laughter echoes through the arena, Ivana turns her attention back to the group.

Iznenađena, vidi kako turisti uživaju.

Surprised, she sees the tourists enjoying themselves.

Ona poskoči. "Luka, znači, znaš puno o povijesti. Možda bih te trebala angažirati kao su-vodiča."

She jumps slightly. "Luka, it seems you know a lot about history. Maybe I should hire you as a co-guide."

Luka oklijeva. "Pa," počne, "ne znam puno o činjenicama, ali znam kako ispričati dobru priču."

Luka hesitates. "Well," he begins, "I don't know much about facts, but I know how to tell a good story."

Ivana ga pogleda i namigne mu. "To je možda točno ono što ovoj turi treba."

Ivana looks at him and winks. "That might be exactly what this tour needs."

Kada je tura završila, Luka osjeća kako se u njemu probudila nova sigurnost.

When the tour is over, Luka feels a new confidence awaken within him.

Pogleda Branimira. "Možda bih trebao još ovakvih tura raditi."

He looks at Branimir. "Maybe I should do more tours like this."

Branimir se smije. "Hmm, možda bi trebao."

Branimir laughs. "Hmm, maybe you should."
