The sun was shining high in the sky as Ivana walked across Trg bana Jelačića, the heart of Zagreb.
It was summer, and the city was full of life.
People walked cheerfully, mingling with tourists who enjoyed the city's beauty.
Cvijeće je ukrašavalo trg, a lagani povjetarac donosio je ugodan miris ljeta.
Flowers adorned the square, and a light breeze brought the pleasant scent of summer.
Ivana je bila uzbuđena.
Ivana was excited.
Voljela je povijest i arhitekturu Zagreba.
She loved the history and architecture of Zagreb.
That day, the Velika Gospa holiday was being celebrated, so the streets were even livelier.
Dok je Ivana hodala, s uživanjem je promatrala stare zgrade i lijepo uređene izloge.
As Ivana walked, she enjoyed observing the old buildings and beautifully decorated shop windows.
She was so engrossed in the beauty around her that she didn't notice a broken brick on the pavement.
Naglo je stala, ali bilo je prekasno.
She stopped abruptly, but it was too late.
Osjetila je oštar bol u gležnju.
She felt a sharp pain in her ankle.
„Auuu!“ uzviknula je, zgrabila gležanj rukom i sjela na klupu.
"Ouch!" she exclaimed, grabbing her ankle with her hand and sitting on a bench.
Činilo se da je uganula gležanj.
It seemed she had sprained her ankle.
Marko i Petra, njeni prijatelji, odmah su joj pritekli u pomoć.
Marko and Petra, her friends, immediately rushed to her aid.
Marko je sjeo pokraj nje.
Marko sat next to her.
„Jesi li dobro?“ upitao je zabrinuto.
"Are you okay?" he asked worriedly.
Ivana je duboko disala pokušavajući ignorirati bol.
Ivana breathed deeply, trying to ignore the pain.
„Jest, malo sam nespretna“, pokušala se našaliti, ali lice joj je ostalo zabrinuto.
"Yes, I'm just a bit clumsy," she tried to joke, but her face remained concerned.
She wanted to continue sightseeing, but every step was painful.
„Možemo se odmoriti“, predložila je Petra sa suosjećanjem u očima.
"We can take a break," Petra suggested with sympathy in her eyes.
No, Ivana je znala da želi vidjeti još.
But Ivana knew she wanted to see more.
Pogledala je prema Zagrebačkoj katedrali.
She looked toward Zagrebačka katedrala.
Bila je odlučna.
She was determined.
„Mogu ja to. Samo polako“, nježno je odgovorila.
"I can do this. Just slowly," she replied gently.
With Marko's hand for support, she stood up and walked slowly.
Step by step, she battled the pain, her face contorted with the effort.
Skoro su stigli do katedrale.
They nearly reached the cathedral.
She hesitated, looking at the stairs that seemed like a barrier for her.
Ali Ivana je bila tvrdoglava.
But Ivana was stubborn.
Uz dubok uzdah, počela je penjati stepenice.
With a deep breath, she began to climb the steps.
Each step was difficult, the pain was sharp, but she didn't stop.
Petra was ready to lend a hand whenever needed.
U tom trenutku, slučajni prolaznik gleda na situaciju.
At that moment, a random passerby noticed the situation.
It was a local elderly gentleman named Luka.
Vido je Ivaninu borbu i prišao je s osmijehom.
He saw Ivana's struggle and approached with a smile.
„Gle, mlada damo, tu je jedan kafić iza ugla. Lijepo je i mirno. Možda biste mogli odmoriti tamo.“
"Look, young lady, there's a nice quiet café around the corner. Perhaps you could rest there."
Ivana je stala.
Ivana paused.
She recognized that even though she wanted to see everything, she also needed to take care of herself.
Zahvalila se starcu s osmijehom.
She thanked the old man with a smile.
„Hvala vam, to je dobra ideja“, rekla je i polako krenula prema kafiću.
"Thank you, that's a good idea," she said and slowly headed to the café.
Sjela je uz ugodan miris kave.
She sat down with the pleasant aroma of coffee filling the air.
Marko i Petra bili su uz nju.
Marko and Petra were by her side.
Naučila je važnu lekciju tog dana.
She learned an important lesson that day.
She could be adventurous, but it was also important to take care of her health.
And as she watched sunlit Zagreb through the window, she cheerfully concluded that she would return to the city with a healthy ankle and new adventures.
