The cold wind of autumn was blowing outside, and a layer of dust had settled on the walls.
The atmosphere in the house was heavy.
This was the time when every home would be buzzing with preparations for Diwali, but this year things were different.
Arjun was sitting in his room, looking at the walls of the house.
There was a dream in his eyes—to see the family happy again.
But before that, he knew he had to do something special.
His sister Pooja saw the condition of the house.
She knew that decorations and sweets couldn't solve their problems.
Arjun made an abrupt decision.
He went to Pooja, ""Sister, let's go get some sweets."
Pooja looked at him with a bit of hesitation, but after thinking for a while, she agreed.
Maybe she knew that Arjun's effort was not just for show.
They both headed towards the market.
All around was liveliness, glowing diyas, and crowded sweet shops.
Arjun was busy at a sweet shop, while Pooja observed the people around them.
Then something happened at the shop that started attracting people's attention around them.
Suddenly, a debate started between Arjun and Pooja.
This argument that began with small things gradually unveiled bigger problems within their family.
The people present at the sweet shop stopped listening and tried to end their quarrel.
After the argument, both stood silently.
There were tears in Arjun's eyes, and a hardness on Pooja's face.
After a few moments of silence, Arjun held Pooja's hand.
"Sister, we have to make a start. Let's get the sweets and face the problems with everyone."
They returned home with sweets.
The silence in the house was still unbroken, but something had changed inside Arjun and Pooja.
They had come closer to each other.
As soon as they reached home, Arjun gave sweets to their parents.
This small step cracked the walls of the house slightly, as if a faint light was reflecting on them.
This time, Arjun's Diwali dream came with some color.
They decided that their family's happiness was just waiting for a beginning.
