In the Sunheri third-floor college dorm, the excitement of Ganesh Chaturthi was in the air.

चारों तरफ रंग-बिरंगी लाइट्स और कागज के गणेश जी की मूर्तियाँ सजाई गईं थीं।

Brightly colored lights and paper Ganesh ji idols were adorned everywhere.

डॉर्म की कॉमन रसोई से लड्डू और मिठाइयों की खुशबू आ रही थी, जहाँ चार-पाँच स्टूडेंट्स अपने हाथों से पकवान बना रहे थे।

The aroma of laddu and sweets wafted from the dorm's common kitchen, where four or five students were preparing dishes by hand.

आरव की नजर दीया पर थी, जो अपने दोस्तों के साथ हंसते-खेलते रसोई के पास खड़ी थी।

Aarav's eyes were on Diya, who was standing by the kitchen laughing and playing with her friends.

आरव के मन में एक योजना थी।

Aarav had a plan in mind.

वह दीया को अपनी पकाने की कला से प्रभावित करना चाहता था।

He wanted to impress Diya with his cooking skills.

उसे विश्वास था कि आज वह उसके लिए कुछ खास बना देगा।

He was confident that today he would make something special for her.

"आज मैं तुम्हारे लिए खास मिठाई बनाऊंगा," आरव ने दीया से कहा, उसके चेहरे पर एक आत्मविश्वास की हंसी थी।

"Today, I will make a special sweet for you," Aarav said to Diya, a confident smile on his face.

दीया मुँह के पास हाथ रखकर हंस दी, "अच्छा, देखते हैं!

Diya covered her mouth with her hand and laughed, "Alright, let's see!"

"आरव ने रसोईघर में कदम रखा और काम पर लग गया।

Aarav stepped into the kitchen and got to work.

वह एक खास मिठाई बनाना चाहता था।

He wanted to make a special sweet.

सोचते-सोचते उसने मोदक बनाने का फैसला किया, जो गणेश चतुर्थी की विशेष मिठाई मानी जाती है।

After pondering, he decided to make modak, a sweet considered special for Ganesh Chaturthi.

लेकिन समस्या यह थी कि उसके पास सभी सामग्री नहीं थी।

But the problem was that he didn't have all the ingredients.

कई ज़रूरी चीज़ें गुम थीं।

Many essential items were missing.

आरव ने हाथ-मुँह धोते हुए सोचा, "चलो, सूझ-बूझ से काम लेना पड़ेगा।

As he washed his hands, Aarav thought, "Let's work with resourcefulness."

" उसने जो चीज़ें मिलीं, उन्हीं से काम चलाने की ठानी।

He decided to make do with whatever ingredients were available.

वह आटे और चावल का आटा मिलाने लगा मगर गलती से पानी ज्यादा डाल दिया।

He began mixing flour and rice flour but accidentally added too much water.

इस बीच, आसपास का हंगामा लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा था।

Meanwhile, the commotion around continued to increase.

साथी छात्र गाने बजा रहे थे और हर कोई अलग-अलग पकवान बनाने में मग्न था।

Fellow students were playing music, and everyone was engrossed in making different dishes.

आरव इस शोर में एकाग्र होने की कोशिश करता रहा।

Aarav tried to concentrate amidst this noise.

अचानक उसकी नजर जले हुए आटे पर पड़ी, और उसके हाथों से बर्तन गिर गया।

Suddenly, he noticed the burnt flour, and the vessel slipped from his hands.

इतने में वह घबराहट में गैस का बटन ठीक से नहीं बंद कर सका और तवा जलने लगा।

In the panic, he couldn't turn off the gas properly, and the pan caught fire.

गैस की गंध से चेताकर आरव ने जल्दी से आग बुझाई, मगर गलती से आग से उठता धुंआ सेंसर तक पहुंच गया और डॉर्म का फायर अलार्म बज उठा।

Alarmed by the smell of the gas, Aarav quickly extinguished the flame, but by mistake, the smoke reached the sensor, and the dorm’s fire alarm went off.

हर कोई बाहर की ओर भागा।

Everyone ran outside.

आरव का दिल धड़कने लगा।

Aarav's heart started pounding.

सबकी नजर उस पर थी, लेकिन फिर दीया ने उसके पास आकर उसकी मदद की।

All eyes were on him, but then Diya came over to help him.

दोनों ने एक साथ मिलकर बची हुई सामग्री से कुछ मिठाई बनाने की कोशिश की।

Together, they tried to make some sweets from the remaining ingredients.

जब मोदक तैयार हुए, वे आकार में थोड़े अजीब थे, लेकिन दीया का मुस्कराता चेहरा देखकर आरव को संतोष हुआ।

When the modaks were ready, they looked a bit odd in shape, but seeing Diya's smiling face gave Aarav satisfaction.

"तुमने कोशिश की, आरव।

"You tried, Aarav.

यही जरूरी था," दीया ने कहा।

That's what mattered," Diya said.

दोनों ने उन मजेदार मोदकों का स्वाद लिया और हँसी की फुहारों में खो गए।

They both tasted the amusing modaks and got lost in a burst of laughter.

आरव ने इसे एक सीख की तरह लिया।

Aarav took it as a lesson.

उसने समझा कि कभी-कभी प्रयास और भावना ही सबसे अहम होती है, और वह दीया के नज़र में उसी प्रयास से प्यारा लग रहा था।

He realized that sometimes efforts and feelings are what's most important, and in Diya's eyes, he appeared endearing with just that effort.
