Among the hills, under wide-open skies, he hoped to find peace.

אך הוא לא ידע שאביבה, אחותו, גם הגיעה לכאן.

But he didn't know that Aviva, his sister, had also come here.

היא חיפשה את ההזדמנות לפגוש את נדב, לדעת שהיא יכולה לתקן את מה שפגע ביניהם.

She was seeking the opportunity to meet Nadav, to know that she could mend what had harmed their relationship.

היה סתיו, חג הסוכות הגיע, והמקום היה מלא סוכות קטנות, מלאות בפירות ענבים ושבחי עץ הדר.

It was autumn, Sukkot was upon them, and the place was filled with small sukkahs, brimming with grape clusters and the praises of citrus fruits.

נדב ישב בסוכתו, מתבונן בשקיעה.

Nadav sat in his sukkah, watching the sunset.

הוא שקע במחשבות.

He sank into his thoughts.

"האם אי פעם נוכל להתגבר על כל המרחק שנכנס בינינו?"

"Will we ever be able to overcome all the distance that has come between us?"

לפתע, שמע את קולה של אביבה.

Suddenly, he heard Aviva's voice.

היא הופיעה בפתח הסוכה.

She appeared at the entrance of the sukkah.

"נדב, אני לא יכולה להמשיך ככה," אמרה אביבה, עיניה מלאות תקווה.

"Nadav, I can't continue like this," Aviva said, her eyes filled with hope.

"באתי לכאן כי אני רוצה שנדבר. שננסה לפתור את מה שהרס את הקשר שלנו."

"I came here because I want us to talk, to try to resolve what has broken our connection."

נדב נאנח.

Nadav sighed.

"חשבתי לבוא למקום הזה כדי לברוח, לא כדי להתמודד."

"I thought to come to this place to escape, not to confront."

אבל אביבה התעקשה.

But Aviva insisted.

"הגיע הזמן להתמודד. אני לא יכולה להתרחק ממך ולאבד אותך."

"It's time to confront. I can't distance myself from you and lose you."

בסוכת החג, כשדפנות הבד מתנשבות ברוח הקרה של הסתיו, השיחה ביניהם החלה.

In the festive sukkah, as the fabric walls flapped in the cold autumn wind, their conversation began.

אביבה סיפרה על הכאב שלה, על ההתמודדויות שלה.

Aviva spoke of her pain, of her struggles.

ונדב, בקול רך ושקט, דיבר על החשש שלו להיפגע שוב.

And Nadav, with a soft and quiet voice, talked about his fear of being hurt again.

הלילה ירד והכוכבים זהרו על פני המדבר.
