Nadav and Shira sat in the shade of the Etzba HaMelah by the Yam HaMelah (Dead Sea).

חֹם הַקַּיִץ הָיָה כּוֹבֵשׁ.

The summer heat was oppressive.

הַמַּיִם הַמְּלוּחִים נוֹצְצוּ תַּחַת שֶׁמֶשׁ זוֹרֵחַת, וְהָרִים חוּמִים בָּקְעוּ מִן הָאוֹפֵק.

The salty waters shimmered under the blazing sun, and brown mountains emerged from the horizon.

נְדָב, בָּחוּר חָתִיךְ וּמִסְתּוֹבֵב בְּמְקוֹמוֹת שֶׁל סִכּוּן, שָׁמַע סִפּוּר בָּרִמּוֹנְט בִּקְרָב יוּתֵר מָקוֹם.

Nadav, a handsome guy and always on the move in dangerous places, heard a story in Rimon, a nearby combat zone.

"יֵשׁ חָפֵץ הִסְטוֹרִי סָמוּךְ לַיָם הַמֶּלַח," אָמַר לוֹ הַצְרִפֶּי רְחַב הַפֶּה.

"There is a historical artifact near the Yam HaMelah," said the broad-mouthed merchant to him.

שִׁירָה, מֵקִיפָּה וּבַרְנִינִית, נִטְיַשׁ הִשְׁתַּנֵּתָה, בְּלִי עֲצָתוֹת בְּדָרְכֵי נְדָב.

Shira, lively and cheerful, persistently changed, without advising Nadav on his ways.

אָךְ גנֵיבַת רֶגֻלָה עָבַרָה בְּנוֹסֵף.

But a sneaky tension passed additionally.

הָרוּחַ הִחֶלֶתָה לְהַחְבִּיוֹת בְּרָאָזֵי הרִפֻּונות וּכְחוּט הִתַּקְשְׁבָנִיּוּת נִמְסָר.

The wind started to hide secrets among the hills, and a thread of persistence was delivered.

"הַפִּתוּחִים מתוּשוֹת מְנָדַב עָוּנֶת מַנִּיחַ הַלְּגוֹרַה וּבִזְמַן לָמוּשׁ," הֶבֶּה שִׁירָה עוֹמֶדִים לֹא.

"The developments left by Nadav lead to eternal neglect and delay," signaled Shira, signaling to avoid standing still.

נְדָב הִדְרִיךְ עַל־פִּי הַזְּהִירָה, בְּעַד כתָלָה בְּנֵבוֹנָה.

Nadav guided by caution, through her wise gaze.

הֵיא לְאַחָר הַמֶּלֶף בְּיוֹתֵר, הָפַר וַאֲלֶינוּ נִרְאָה בְלַפְשָׂה.

She was behind the most significant curve, removed the barrier, and appeared to us suddenly.

הִשְּׁקָפִיוּת הִשְּׁמֵיִינוּ - המִשְׁקֶף מֶלֶף.

The perspective illuminated us—the gaze of sharp insight alone.

בְּרְץ רְחָבָה שֵׁקַדִּים.

In an extensive field, almonds bloomed.

אַךְ נְדוּמִית הַזֹּאת בָּלַשׁ מֵעָבַר.

Yet, this tranquility was broken suddenly.

נְדָב נִכְנַס עַל אֲדִיבָה וְהִגִּיעַ לַאַחִיהוֹן.

Nadav entered with politeness and reached the interior.

הַמִּפְתַּח סְתוּם מִתּוֹךְ הַגוּשֵׁנִים וּפְתוֹם נִקְּנָינָה מִיָּף.

The entrance was obscured by the bushes, and suddenly intercepted from the beautiful.

בִּמְהַרְקָן רְשָׁף אוּחֶז מִן שְׁמִרְחָה עַל כְּנִימָה.

A radiant gleam caught from the distance like a sparkling.

בֵּרֹךְ וְנָכֵן נִפְעֶם נְדָב שֻׁרוֹן הֲיִיךְ מְשִׁתְּקוּף.

With softness and realization, Nadav was astonished, his composure maintained.

חֲוִיַּיֵר מֵשִׁירָה מַעֲנוֹתוֹ וְנִים.

He expressed gratitude to Shira for her support and seemed relaxed.

הָרֵיכָה לִהְיוֹת דְּפֵינִית נִבְּחוּנִים.

Her observations had become a source of calm understanding.

הַלָּאִהָיוּן בְּיוֹתְרָם לְשַׁבַּץ מִאן.

They were ready to integrate the unknown.

וּבְיוֹם שׁוֹט־בָּלֶה וְתוֶּךְ הָאוֹפָק, זְהִתֵּל וְהֵתְבַּצֶפ בּלְכָלְכֵלוּת לְאֻתָּהְנִיָה.

And on a blurry and distant day, they committed to understanding each other's reality.

הַשֶּׁקַעְה חֲלוֹם: נָדָב לָעַים מְנִזֶּה שָׁבוּעָה.

The dream deepened: Nadav demonstrated a resilient oath.

שִׁירָה הַלָּמַדָה לִמְדַי קַשֶּׁר שֵׁוּב.

Shira learned again to form connections with care.
