In the autumn season, when the air is cool and pleasant and the holiday of Sukkot is in full swing, Eitan, Hadar, and Yonatan met at Ein Gedi.

איתן חזר לאחר מסע ארוך בחו"ל, והיה מלא בהתלבטויות על עתידו.

Eitan had returned after a long journey abroad and was filled with dilemmas about his future.

הוא הרגיש שהוא לא מחובר למקום או לאנשים שהשאיר מאחור.

He felt disconnected from the place and the people he had left behind.

עין גדי התפרשה לפניהם כמו גן עדן ירוק בלב המדבר.

Ein Gedi unfolded before them like a green paradise in the heart of the desert.

מפלים נופלים, ושקט של שלום ברחבי הפארק.

Waterfalls fell, and a peaceful quiet enveloped the park.

הדר, חברתו מילדות של איתן ויום יום חיה את החיבור שלה לטבע כמדענית סביבתית, כבר הכינה שולחן פיקניק קטן ליד אחד המפלים.

Hadar, Eitan's childhood friend who lives daily with her connection to nature as an environmental scientist, had already set up a small picnic table near one of the waterfalls.

יונתן, בן הדוד של הדר, תמיד חיוך רחב על פניו, הביא עמו מאפים מיוחדים לחג.

Yonatan, had a wide smile on his face, and brought with him special pastries for the holiday.

They sat down to eat.

"איתן, איך היה המסע שלך?

"Eitan, how was your journey?"

" שאלה הדר, ואיתן, במבט מהורהר, ענה.

asked Hadar, and Eitan, with a contemplative look, replied.

"היה מרתק, אבל עכשיו אני לא יודע מה לעשות.

"It was fascinating, but now I don't know what to do.

אני מרגיש מנותק.

I feel disconnected."

"יונתן הביט בו ואמר, "אני חושב שזה טבעי להרגיש כך אחרי מסע גדול.

Yonatan looked at him and said, "I think it's natural to feel that way after a big journey.

אבל אולי צריך לחשוב על מה שאתה מחפש באמת.

But maybe you need to think about what you're really searching for."

"כך המשיכו לשוחח, משתפים זכרונות וחוויות.

They continued to talk, sharing memories and experiences.

הדר דיברה על עבודתה בשמירה על הטבע, על כמה חשובה לה הקרבה לארץ ולאנשים.

Hadar spoke about her work in nature conservation, about how important the proximity to the land and people is to her.

יונתן, שהתפעל מתרבויות, סיפר על המסורת היהודית של סוכות ואיך מגוונת היא החוויה של להרגיש בבית לא על ידי מקומות אלא על ידי אנשים.

Yonatan, who was fascinated by cultures, talked about the Jewish tradition of Sukkot and how diverse the experience of feeling at home is, not through places but through people.

לבסוף, איתן פתח לבו וסיפר על כל הקשיים שלו.

Finally, Eitan opened his heart and spoke about all his struggles.

"אני רוצה הרפתקאות, אבל גם להשתייך למקום מסוים.

"I want adventures, but also to belong to a certain place.

I just don't know what will give me a sense of belonging," he said.

By the sound of the waterfall, Hadar and Yonatan listened attentively, offering their support.

יונתן אמר, "אולי פשוט תנסה למצוא את ההרפתקה שבישראל, אולי יש עוד מה לגלות פה.

Yonatan said, "Maybe just try to find the adventure here in Israel, maybe there's still more to discover here."

"התשובה נגעה בלבו של איתן.

The answer touched Eitan's heart.

הוא החליט להישאר קצת יותר זמן בישראל, לחפש משמעות והרפתקאות בתוך הבית.

He decided to stay a bit longer in Israel, to seek meaning and adventures within his home.

His desire to discover wasn't necessarily tied to having to leave a place; rather, it was about the ability to feel belonging.

השמש התחילה לשקוע, ואיתן הסתכל על הנוף המדהים של עין גדי.

The sun began to set, and Eitan looked at the stunning landscape of Ein Gedi.

הוא הרגיש שהשיחה עם הדר ויונתן הביאה לו שלוות נפש.

He felt that the conversation with Hadar and Yonatan brought him peace of mind.

As they left Ein Gedi, Eitan suddenly felt more at peace.

הוא והחברים דיברו ושוחחו בחום, והעתיד נראה פתוח ומלא אפשרויות, ממש כמו אותו נוף נפלא מסביבם.

He and his friends talked and conversed warmly, and the future seemed open and full of possibilities, just like that wonderful landscape around them.
