בשעת הבוקר מוקדם, כשהשמש בדיוק החלה לזרוח מעל הרי המדבר, עמדו איתן, מאיה ועמרי על פסגת מצדה.

In the early morning hours, just as the sun began to rise over the desert mountains, Eitan, Maya, and Omri stood on the summit of Masada.

Eitan gazed at the enchanting scenery around him, but his heart was heavy.

His eyes were sore from a sleepless night, spent thinking about the family secret that Omri had unintentionally revealed.

"Such quiet doesn't suit you."

איתן השפיל את עיניו, בטוח שמאיה לא תוכל להבין את העומס שעל לבו, למרות תמיכתה האינסופית.

Eitan lowered his eyes, certain that Maya wouldn’t be able to understand the burden on his heart, despite her unwavering support.

"פשוט... חושב," השיב איתן בקצרה.

"Just... thinking," Eitan replied briefly.

הוא ידע שבקרוב יהיה חייב לדבר עם עמרי.

He knew he would soon have to talk to Omri.

ידע שזה חייב להיעשות כאן על פסגת מצדה, במקום שבו הם יכולים לדבר על הכל בלי שאף אחד יפריע.

He knew it had to be done here on the summit of Masada, where they could talk about everything without interruption.

עמרי עמד בצד, מוריד מים בקופסת מים שנשאה במהלך הטיפוס.

Omri stood to the side, drinking water from a bottle he carried during the climb.

הוא לא שם לב למבטי הספק של איתן, מרוכז בעצמו ובמחשבותיו.

He didn’t notice Eitan’s doubtful glances, lost in his own thoughts.

איתן לקח נשימה עמוקה ופנה אליו.

Eitan took a deep breath and turned to him.

"עמרי, אני צריך לדבר איתך."

"Omri, I need to talk to you."

עמרי הסתובב אליו, מבטו תמה.

Omri turned to him, his expression puzzled.

"מה קורה, איתן?" שאל.

"What's going on, Eitan?" he asked.

הם התרחקו מעט ממאיה, שהמשיכה להביט על הנוף עוצר הנשימה, והחלו לפסוע לכיוון קצה התחבורה ההיסטורית.

They moved a bit away from Maya, who continued to gaze at the breathtaking view, and began to walk toward the edge of the historic site.

"I didn’t mean for you to find out like that," he said apologetically.

"I just wanted to bring it up because I thought it was important."

איתן נשם עמוק, והחל לשאול את עמרי על פרטי הסוד.

Eitan took a deep breath and began asking Omri about the details of the secret.

הם דיברו במשך זמן מה, גילויים על המשפחה התגלגלו במילים בזה אחר זה, עד שאיתן החל להרגיש תחושת הקלה מתפשטת בתוכו.

They talked for a while, revelations about the family unfolding in words one after another, until Eitan began to feel a sense of relief spreading within him.

Finally, with the sunrise behind them, Omri spoke sincerely: "Whatever happens, we're still family.
