They stepped inside, but it wasn't warm at all.

"Veikko, I thought you reserved a cabin with heating?"

Maija kysyi hieman hämmentyneenä.

Maija asked, a bit confused.

Veikko hieroi niskaansa nolona.

Veikko rubbed his neck sheepishly.

"Luulin niin.

"I thought so.

Kai unohdin tarkistaa."

I guess I forgot to check."

Hän katsoi Maijaa miettien, miten voisi pelastaa tilanteen.

He looked at Maija pondering how to save the situation.

Maija katsoi Veikkoa ja hymyili lempeästi.

Maija looked at Veikko and smiled gently.

"Ei se haittaa," hän vastasi naurahtaen.

"It's okay," she replied, chuckling.

"Katsotaanpa, mitä voimme keksiä."

"Let's see what we can come up with."

Veikko virnisti.

Veikko grinned.

"Rakennetaan ulos nuotio!

"Let's build a campfire outside!

Meillä on kaikki tarpeet ulkona."

We have everything we need out there."

He astuivat ulos mökistä ja alkoivat kerätä puita lähimetsästä.

They stepped out of the cabin and started gathering wood from the nearby forest.

Pian nuotio loimusi iloisesti järvenrantamaisemassa.

Soon the campfire was happily blazing with the lakeside view.

Veikko kaatoi termospullosta lämmintä kaakaota kahteen mukiin.

Veikko poured warm cocoa from a thermos into two cups.

"Tämä menee suunnitelman B mukaan," hän sanoi nauraen ja antoi toisen mukin Maijalle.

"This is plan B," he said, laughing, and handed the other cup to Maija.

Maija otti mukin ja katsoi taivaalle.

Maija took the cup and looked at the sky.

"Katsoppa, tähdet!

"Look at the stars!

Ne ovat täällä niin kirkkaita," hän sanoi.

They're so bright here," she said.

Veikko puristi Maijaa hellästi.

Veikko gently squeezed Maija.

"Tämä on parempi kuin suunnitelma A," hän myönsi.

"This is better than plan A," he admitted.

"Kiitos, kun olet kanssani."

"Thank you for being with me."

He käärivät itsensä vahvoihin vilteihin ja istuivat lähekkäin, katsoen, kuinka järven jää kimalteli kuunvalossa.

They wrapped themselves in thick blankets and sat close together, watching the lake's ice sparkle in the moonlight.

Kylmyys unohtui, kun he nauttivat toistensa seurasta ja ympäröivän luonnon rauhasta.

The cold was forgotten as they enjoyed each other's company and the peace of the surrounding nature.
