Vanade Tallinna tänavate ääres, kus kõnnitee kivikivid olid siledaks kulunud, kulgesid Kadri ja Mihkel aeglaselt läbi sügisese rahvamustri.
On the old streets of Tallinn, where the cobblestones of the sidewalk had been worn smooth, Kadri and Mihkel walked slowly through the autumnal crowd.
The air was crisp and filled with the scent of roasted chestnuts rising from a vendor selling polished wreaths of shavings.
Kadri, alati hoolikas planeerija, tõmbas oma salli tihedamalt ümber kaela, mõeldes lähenevale talvele.
Kadri, always a careful planner, pulled her scarf tighter around her neck, thinking about the approaching winter.
"Mihkel, me peame olema valmis.
"Mihkel, we need to be prepared.
Talv tuleb varsti ja ma vajan uut sooja mantlit," ütles Kadri, heites pilgu rahvahulga poole.
Winter is coming soon and I need a new warm coat," said Kadri, casting a glance towards the crowd.
"Kadri, me oleme praegu Old Townis.
"Kadri, we're in Old Town right now.
Naudi hetke.
Enjoy the moment.
Pole vaja kiirustada," vastas Mihkel lõdvestunult.
No need to rush," replied Mihkel calmly.
He liked savoring the present, but Kadri knew it would quickly become an issue once the snow was on the ground.
Nad jõudsid väikese butiigi ette, mille aknale oli elegantne villa mantel üles pandud.
They arrived in front of a small boutique, where an elegant wool coat was displayed in the window.
Kadri silmad lõid särama.
Kadri's eyes lit up.
"Vaatame sisse."
"Let's go in."
Poes närveeris Mihkel veidi, kui Kadri mantli selga proovis.
In the store, Mihkel felt a bit nervous as Kadri tried on the coat.
It was exactly what she had been looking for—quality and perfect for winter weather.
But the price was higher than Kadri was willing to pay.
"Kallis küll, aga see on täiuslik," sosistas Kadri endale, natuke pettunud.
"Expensive, but it's perfect," whispered Kadri to herself, a bit disappointed.
Mihkel looked at Kadri, noticing the sparkle in her eyes, and decided to take action.
"Ma aitan sind," ütles ta.
"I'll help you," he said.
"Oleme ju tiim."
"We are a team, after all."
Kadri was surprised, but it warmed her heart.
Nemad mõlemad panid raha kokku ja mantli ostmine sai võimalikuks.
They both pooled their money together, making the purchase possible.
Lahkudes poest, mantel kindlalt ümber Kadri, tundis Mihkel mõistmise rõõmu.
As they left the store, the coat securely around Kadri, Mihkel felt the joy of understanding.
For Kadri, it was about her sense of security; for Mihkel, it was beginning to value the importance of being prepared.
"Küll need ettevalmistused on mõnikord tõesti head," mõtles Mihkel.
"These preparations really are good sometimes," thought Mihkel.
Nad jalutasid edasi, läbi ajaloo hõnguliste tänavate, olles mõlemad rahul ja õnnelikud - Kadri oma ettevalmistustega ja Mihkel leides uue väärtuse nende suhtes.
They walked on, through the history-infused streets, both satisfied and happy—Kadri with her preparations and Mihkel finding new value in them.
