  • Pärnu rand säras ereda suvepäikese all, kutsudes kõiki puhkama ja nautima.

Pärnu beach shone under the bright summer sun, inviting everyone to relax and enjoy.

  • Maarika, Tallinna kiirest elutempost väsinud tarkvaraarendaja, otsis siin rahu.

Maarika, a software developer from Tallinn tired of its fast-paced lifestyle, sought peace here.

She found a spot near a large rock.

The beach was full of families and tourists enjoying the soft sand and the calm waves of the Baltic Sea.

  • Maarika silmis oli aga segadus.

    Maarika was confused.

  • Naudi randa või muretse töö üle?

Enjoy the beach or worry about work?

  • Ta tegi otsuse – jätab oma sülearvuti hotelli.

She made a decision - she'd leave her laptop at the hotel.

  • "Täna ma puhkan," lubas ta iseendale, kuigi südametunnistus püüdis teisiti käskida.

"Today I will rest," she promised herself, even though her conscience tried to dictate otherwise.

She stretched out as the sun warmed her skin.

It was so easy to let her thoughts wander, but work still spun around in her mind.

  • Umbes tund hiljem taipas Maarika, et on just sellisel ajal töökaaslasele Liisale helistanud, et jagada ideed projekti osas.

About an hour later, Maarika realized she had called her colleague Liisa at just that time to share an idea for the project.

  • Ta kergitas käed pead toetades.

She raised her hands, supporting her head.

  • Kuidas seda veel rohkem unustada saaks?

How could she forget even more?

  • Järsku hüüdis keegi, "Maarika!"

    Suddenly someone shouted, "Maarika!"

  • Toomas, endine kolleeg, ilmus tema ette, lained taustal laksumas.

Toomas, a former colleague, appeared before her, the waves crashing in the background.

  • "Nautlemas?"

    "Enjoying yourself?"

  • küsis Toomas naeratades.

    Toomas asked with a smile.

  • Maarika rääkis talle oma võitlusest.

Maarika told him about her struggle.

Toomas nodded and said, "It's important not to forget at work that breaks make things work.

Sometimes everything becomes easier when we're away."

  • Maarika mõtles ta sõnadele.

    Maarika pondered his words.

  • Nad kõndisid mere ääres, rääkides ning naerdes, tuletades meelde vanu aegu.

They walked along the seaside, talking and laughing, reminiscing about old times.

After parting, Maarika sat on the beach and watched the setting sun.

She suddenly felt more at peace, understanding that resting is a necessary part of life.

  • Just siis helises telefon.

    Just then her phone rang.

  • "Maarika?

    "Maarika?

  • Sa oled teinud suurepärast tööd.

    You have done excellent work.

  • Võta veel nädal puhkust," ütles tema ülemus.

Take another week off," said her boss.

Surprise and joy turned into calmness – it seemed that work was as understanding towards her as she now was towards herself.

Maarika sat there, watching the sun slowly set into the sea, and felt a new peace covering her heart as she thought about Toomas and her boss's words.

  • Ta oli lõpuks leidnud tasakaalu.

    She had finally found balance.
