Vana Tallinna vanalinn nägi suvel eriliselt ilus välja.
The old Tallinn old town looked particularly beautiful in the summer.
Kert ja Maarja kõndisid mööda tasaselt kive, tundes kerget soojust, mis nende ümber hõljus.
Kert and Maarja walked over the quietly cobbled stones, feeling the gentle warmth hovering around them.
Hoolimata pilvedest olid nende mõtted eredad.
Despite the clouds, their thoughts were bright.
Maarja was excited about her upcoming internship in Paris, but the thought also worried Kert.
He knew he needed to talk to her before she left.
Järsku hakkas vihma sadama.
Suddenly, it started to rain.
Suured kopsakad tilgad kostsid tänavale, ujutades kiirelt kivi.
Large, splattering drops sounded on the street, quickly flooding the stones.
Nad jooksid lähedal asuvasse kohvikusse varjule.
They ran into a nearby café for shelter.
It was small and cozy, filled with books and the aroma of coffee.
Kohvikus oli vaikne, väljas möllava tormi muusika.
The café was quiet, with the music of the storm raging outside.
Maarja raputas niisked juuksed kiiktoolis istet võttes.
Maarja shook out her damp hair as she took a seat in the rocking chair.
"Noh," naeris ta, "näib, et jään truuks oma tavapärasele seiklusaltiltsejale."
"Well," she laughed, "it seems I'm staying true to my usual adventure-seeker self."
Kert naeratas, kuid närvid kiskusid tema kõhus sõlme.
Kert smiled, but nerves were tying knots in his stomach.
"Arvasin täpselt, et täna võib vihma tulla," ütles ta vaikselt.
"I actually thought it might rain today," he said quietly.
Maarja vaatas talle küsimusi täis silmadega.
Maarja looked at him with questioning eyes.
"See on minu õppimise tulemus. Meteoroloogia."
"It's what I've learned. Meteorology."
Maarja haaras tassi kohvi.
Maarja grabbed a cup of coffee.
"See on põnev! Nii et võid mul iga päev öelda, millal vihmavarju kaasa võtan?"
"That's exciting! So you can tell me every day whether to bring an umbrella?"
Kert sighed and took a sip of his coffee, hoping to find a bit of courage.
"Ma... tahtsin midagi rääkida, enne kui sa lahkud."
"I wanted to talk about something before you leave."
Maarja muutus tõsiseks, "Mis on?"
Maarja became serious, "What is it?"
In those moments, as the storm outside intensified and the café dimmed slightly, time seemed to stand still.
"Maarja, me oleme olnud head sõbrad nii kaua. Ja ma hindan seda väga," alustas Kert.
"Maarja, we've been good friends for so long. And I value that greatly," Kert began.
There was concern in Maarja's eyes as he continued, "but I feel like something has been left unsaid."
Kuna torm ulgus, vaatas Maarja teda sügavalt.
As the storm howled, Maarja looked at him deeply.
"Kert, mida sa üritad öelda?"
"Kert, what are you trying to say?"
Kert hingas sügavalt sisse.
Kert took a deep breath.
"Ma arvan... ma tean, et mulle meeldid sina. Rohkem kui sõbrana."
"I think... I know that I like you. More than just as a friend."
Tema süda tagus kiiresti, sõnad tundusid õhus rippumas.
His heart beat rapidly, the words seemed to hang in the air.
"Ja ma pidin sulle rääkima, enne kui lähed."
"And I had to tell you before you go."
Maarja nägu pehmeks muutus.
Maarja's face softened.
"Kert, ma ei teadnud... aga ma olen sellest kuulmisest rõõmus."
"Kert, I didn't know... but I'm glad to hear it."
She stretched out her hand and took Kert's in hers.
"Ka sina meeldid mulle. Ja kuigi ma pean sõitma, lubame, et hoiame ühendust."
"I like you too. And even though I have to travel, let's promise to keep in touch."
Outside, the storm continued to rage, but inside the café, there was now a quiet and joyful peace.
Maarja kallistas Kerti, nad mõlemad naersid, olles teadmises, et nende vahel areneb midagi ilusat.
Maarja hugged Kert, both of them laughing, knowing that something beautiful was developing between them.
Nad istusid kohvikus, oodates tormi möödumist, ent mõlemad teadsid, et nende sõprus oli muutunud millekski enamaks.
They sat in the café, waiting for the storm to pass, but both knew that their friendship had turned into something more.
Kert felt free for the first time, having taken a risk and chosen the path of his heart.
Euroopa torm lõppes lõpuks, aga nende uus algus alles algas.
The European storm finally ended, but their new beginning was just starting.
