Marek and Kadri, two tireless friends with a passion for travel, began their adventures in Tallinn as they set out on their long journey to the Tartu Jooksumaraton.
Kevadpäike paistis kõrgel taevas ja alles tärkavad puud ning põõsad ääristasid teed, muutes nende sõidu lummavaks.
The spring sun shone high in the sky, and the newly budding trees and shrubs bordered the road, making their drive enchanting.
Marek, innukas maratonijooksja, istus roolis, vaadates kindlalt GPS-seadmesse, mis tundus olevat tema ainus teejuht.
Marek, an eager marathon runner, sat behind the wheel, looking intently at the GPS device, which seemed to be his only guide.
Ta usaldas tehnikat, vahel rohkem kui iseennast.
He trusted technology, sometimes more than himself.
Kadri, on the passenger seat, took the whole situation lightly and cheerfully, enjoying every kilometer of the journey.
"Kas oleme ikka õigel teel?"
"Are we still on the right track?"
Kadri asked with a smile as they passed yet another tiny village that they hadn't planned into their route.
Marek silmitses GPS-i, mis vilgutas mõtetuid juhiseid.
Marek glanced at the GPS, which was flashing pointless directions.
"Ära muretse, GPS teab, kuhu me peame minema," kinnitas Marek, kuigi tema sõnad kaotasid veenvuse iga mööduva minuti ja valesti pööratud tee tõttu.
"Don't worry, the GPS knows where we need to go," Marek assured, although his words lost conviction with every passing minute and wrong turn.
Varsti märkisid nad, et tee viib hoopis eemale tuttavast suunast.
Soon, they noticed that the road was leading them away from the familiar direction.
Kadri soovitas, et äkki nad peaksid kohaliku käest teed küsima.
Kadri suggested that maybe they should ask a local for directions.
However, Marek didn't want to give up; he relied on his intuition and the GPS until the end.
Lõpuks leidsid nad end väikeses festivalil Bilškalinas, kus muusika ja naer kajasid väikese linna tänavatel.
Eventually, they found themselves in a small festival in Bilškalinas, where music and laughter echoed through the streets of the little town.
The air smelled of gingerbread, people danced, and songs resounded at every corner.
See polnud küll Tartu, kuid miski selles paigas tõmbas nad endasse.
It wasn't Tartu, but something about this place drew them in.
"Mis arvad, Kadri, siin on päris tore," ütles Marek, esimest korda toda päeva jooksul lõdvestudes.
"What do you think, Kadri, it's actually quite nice here," said Marek, relaxing for the first time that day.
Kadri noogutas entusiastlikult.
Kadri nodded enthusiastically.
"See oli hea valik.
"It was a good choice.
No GPS can guide you to a place like this," she replied cheerfully.
Nad otsustasid jääda festivalile, nautides ootamatut seiklust.
They decided to stay at the festival, enjoying the unexpected adventure.
Marek finally realized that not everything has to go according to plan, and sometimes those unexpected turns create the best memories.
Kadri huumor ja oskus mängida juhuse poolt määratud kaartidega õpetasid talle olulise elutõetera: tähtis on lasta end viia sinna, kuhu päev juhatab.
Kadri's humor and ability to play with the cards dealt by chance taught him an important life lesson: it's important to let yourself be led where the day takes you.
And so, they spent the spring day amidst joy and joyful people, far from the Tartu Jooksumaraton, but on the right path in life.
