It was a sunny spring morning, and the birds were chirping as Sofie dragged Magnus into the busy sports equipment store.
It was time to find the perfect gear for her upcoming triathlon.
Sofie kunne næsten mærke suset af spænding i luften.
Sofie could almost feel the rush of excitement in the air.
The store was filled with people browsing everything from running shoes to bike helmets.
"Sofie, look here," said Magnus, pointing at a pair of shoes in a dazzling color.
"They are brand new and look super cool!"
Sofie rystede lidt på hovedet.
Sofie shook her head a little.
"They might look cool, but they also need to be comfortable.
I don't want sore feet in the middle of a competition."
Hendes blik faldt på et par mere enkle, men robuste sko.
Her gaze fell on a pair of more simple, yet sturdy shoes.
"Måske... men se lige dette design!"
"Maybe... but just look at this design!"
Magnus holdt skoene op foran hende.
Magnus held the shoes up in front of her.
"Du vil ligne en ægte sportsstjerne."
"You'll look like a real sports star."
Sofie took a deep breath as she balanced between the desire to look good and the need for the right equipment.
"Okay, jeg prøver dem."
"Okay, I'll try them on."
She slipped on the colorful shoes, tied them tight, and walked around a bit.
Det føltes som at gå på klipper.
It felt like walking on rocks.
"They look awesome, but they won't last more than three kilometers," she said with a crooked smile.
Magnus så tvivlende ud.
Magnus looked doubtful.
"Er du sikker?
"Are you sure?
Det er de mest populære i øjeblikket."
They are the most popular at the moment."
"I know what's best for me," replied Sofie.
She went back to the shelf and put on the simple shoes.
De passede perfekt.
They fit perfectly.
Hun mærkede straks forskellen.
She immediately felt the difference.
"Jeg tager dem her."
"I'll take these."
Magnus trak på skuldrene, men smilede.
Magnus shrugged but smiled.
"The most important thing is that you feel ready for the competition."
As they headed for the checkout, Sofie felt confident in her decision.
It was her race, her performance, her choice.
Magnus klappede hende på ryggen.
Magnus patted her on the back.
"Næste gang lytter jeg til dig først."
"Next time, I'll listen to you first."
Sofie lo.
Sofie laughed.
"And next time, maybe we'll let you choose the equipment," she teased, feeling a new strength within her.
Magnus nikkede.
Magnus nodded.
He knew he had just learned a valuable lesson about listening and supporting.
With their purchases in hand and spring in the air, they left the store.
Sofies skridt mod triatlonen føltes pludselig lettere.
Sofie's steps towards the triathlon suddenly felt lighter.
Her decision was made, and she was ready to run towards the goal.
