Y tu hwnt i lonydd tawel y pentref, roedd y cyflymder o hydref wedi llenwi'r awyr â ffresni.
Beyond the quiet lanes of the village, the speed of autumn had filled the air with freshness.
Roedd y tri ffrind, Gwion, Rhian a Mair, wedi penderfynu mynd i barti Calan Gaeaf yr oedd pawb yn siarad amdano.
The three friends, Gwion, Rhian, and Mair, had decided to go to the Halloween party that everyone was talking about.
Roedd Rhian wedi gwisgo fel Udo Cawr, tra bod Gwion wedi gollwng ei hun i mewn i drowsus hir hen farddas.
Rhian had dressed as Udo Cawr, while Gwion had slipped into the long trousers of an old bard.
Mair? Roedd hi'n Adda'r Cawr, gyda ffyn, tywod a phob dim.
Mair? She was Adda'r Cawr, with branches, sand, and everything.
"O, edrychwch ar hyn, mae pethau wedi mynd dros ben llestri," meddai Gwion yn cyffrous, silffiau hir ei wmbredd gawant drosto wrth gerdded ar hyd y llwybrau garw.
"Oh, look at this, things have gone overboard," said Gwion excitedly, as long shelves of branches swayed above him while walking along the rough paths.
Roedd y tri wedi ffeindio eu hunain o flaen adfeilion hynafol, enfawr.
The three found themselves in front of ancient, massive ruins.
"Ni ddylem fod yma," rhybuddiodd Rhian, yn edrych ar y dail a geinliw wedi eu gwasgaru dros y llawr carreg.
"We shouldn't be here," warned Rhian, looking at the vibrantly colored leaves scattered over the stone floor.
"Roedd y parti i fod ar ryw fath o benddelw."
"The party was supposed to be at some sort of monument."
Yn fuan, tan eu syndod, dechreuodd grŵp o bobl gyda lampau blaidd symud tuag atynt.
Soon, to their surprise, a group of people with lanterns began to move towards them.
Roeddent yn ymweld â’r adfeilion.
They were visiting the ruins.
"Peidiwch â phoeni," awgrymodd Gwion yn sydyn.
"Don't worry," suggested Gwion suddenly.
"Gadewch inni chwarae efo'r dorf! Efallai byddan nhw'n ein helpu ni."
"Let's play along with the crowd! Maybe they'll help us."
Mae Mair yn chwerthin.
Mair laughed.
"Gallwn ni ddweud ein bod ninnau'n archwilwyr," meddai, gan deimlo'r brens achlust sydd bob amser yn dod wrth weld hen hen bethau.
"We can say we're explorers too," she said, feeling the familiar thrill that always comes when she sees ancient things.
Wrth iddynt gerdded gyda’r grŵp, dechreuodd Rhian fwynhau'r profiad.
As they walked with the group, Rhian began to enjoy the experience.
"Pwy sy'n gwybod," meddai mewn gwen, "efallai y byddwn ni'n darganfod rhywbeth anhygoel."
"Who knows," she said with a smile, "maybe we'll discover something amazing."
Yn sydyn, galwodd y tywysydd arnynt i esbonio arteffact a oedd â llygaid i gyd wedi’u pwyso arno.
Suddenly, the guide called them over to explain an artifact that had everyone's eyes fixed upon it.
Roedd Gwion wedi dod ymlaen a dechreuodd, "Yma gwelwn addoliwr hynafol... neu efallai chwith arweinydd..." roedd pawb yn chwerthin nawr.
Gwion stepped forward and began, "Here we see an ancient worshipper... or perhaps a left-handed leader..." Everyone was laughing now.
Er bod y ddisgrifiad Gwion wedi bod yn ddiddorol, ni fu'n gywir.
Though Gwion's description was interesting, it wasn't accurate.
Ond yr oedd yn llawn brwdfrydedd.
But he was full of enthusiasm.
Roedd y tywysydd wedi synnu wrth wylio, ond â gwen dda roedd wedi dweud, "Rydych chi'n rhy hwyl!
The guide was surprised as he watched, but with a good-natured smile, he said, "You are too much fun!
Dewch i aros am ein digwyddiad Calan Gaeaf arbennig i archeolegwyr."
Come stay for our special archaeologists' Halloween event."
Ar ddiwedd y nos, roedd Mair wedi darganfod awydd i wybod mwy am archeoleg go iawn, Rhian wedi dysgu i ymlacio a gweld hwyl mewn pethau, a Gwion?
At the end of the night, Mair found a desire to learn more about real archaeology, Rhian learned to relax and find fun in things, and Gwion?
Roedd yn gwybod ei fod yn dda wrth adrodd straeon, a bod pob lle os nad ei dychymyg ei hun yn gallu dod â chwenych i’r achos.
He realized he was good at storytelling, and that every place, if not his own imagination, could bring excitement to the cause.
Roedd y tri ffrind, er mai sbri ac antur oedd y nod, wedi dod yn haws i lawr hefo gwirionedd, a’r gweddill fe aethant â hanesogiad newydd yn eu calonnau.
The three friends, though their aim was fun and adventure, had come closer to reality, and the rest they carried with them as a new story in their hearts.
Roedd y dirgelwch sydd wedi gorfodi eu llwybrau ar chwilio diweddarach eu hun.
The mystery that had governed their paths led to further exploration of their own.
