  • Mae’r awyr yn drwm gyda’r arogl o goffi ffres wrth iddi droi'n hwyr yn ystod dathliadau Calan Gaeaf ym Marina Abertawe.

The air is heavy with the smell of fresh coffee as it turns late during the Calan Gaeaf celebrations at the Marina Abertawe.

  • Gwneir swyn hud o'r egin newydd a gwin pob man wrth i blant wisgo'u gwisgoedd ysbryd i gasglu pwdinau.

A magical charm is made from fresh shoots and mulled wine as children dress in their ghostly costumes to collect treats.

  • Ond heddiw, nid yw golwg falch Marina Abertawe y peth mwyaf diddorol.

But today, the proud sight of Marina Abertawe isn't the most intriguing thing.

  • Mae rhywbeth arall wedi cynhyrfu’r dref – gwrthrych dirgel yn nofio yn y dŵr.

Something else has stirred the town - a mysterious object floating in the water.

  • Eira, myfyrwyr prifysgol yn astudio bioleg y môr, sef ei hun wrth ymyl y dŵr, chwilfrydig a phryderus.

Eira, a university student studying marine biology, finds herself by the water, curious and anxious.

  • “Mae’n rhaid i mi ddarganfod beth yw e!” meddai hi wrthi hi ei hun, codi ei llygaid i Orwelon’r môr.

“I must find out what it is!” she tells herself, lifting her eyes to the horizon of the sea.

  • “Dim ond chwedl ydy e, Eira,” dywedodd Gethin, pysgotwr lleol gyda storiâu haerllug o uchder.

“It’s just a legend, Eira,” said Gethin, a local fisherman with tall tales.

  • Roedd ei wyneb, wedi ei lygru gan y gwynt môr, yn adleisio balchder a beirgyn.

His face, weathered by the sea wind, echoed pride and boldness.

  • “Mae pob chwedl yn gorfod dod o rhywle,” rhybuddiodd Eira, disgleirio o dan y golau llanw sy’n taro dros y cei.

“Every legend has got to come from somewhere,” Eira warned, shining under the tidal light that strikes above the quay.

  • Yn agos, roedd Caffi y Marina yn brysur gyda seciwencau o clecs a chlyfrau.

Nearby, the Caffi y Marina was bustling with sequences of gossip and chatter.

  • Rhosyn, perchennog y lle, yn seren ar yr ysgwydd a'i wyneb yn barod i ddod i’r fei.

Rhosyn, the owner, was a star on the shoulder with her face ready to step in.

  • “Beth bynnag yw e, nid wyf isio unrhyw faint o dryblith yn trafferthu fy ngwsmeriaid,” dywedodd hi’n holl gredadwy.

“Whatever it is, I don’t want any amount of trouble bothering my customers,” she said quite credibly.

  • Ond roedd teimlad rhyfeddu tu mewn i Rhosyn yn codi ei gyffro, a chafodd ei hun yn chwilio am wynebiaeth ymysg ei chwsmeriaid, chwilio am rhyw gwybodaeth na roedd hi eto wedi clywed.

But there was a feeling of wonder rising in Rhosyn that sparked her excitement, and she found herself searching for a face among her customers, searching for some information she hadn’t yet heard.

  • Yn wynebu penbleth, penderfynodd Eira actio a gofynnodd am help.

Facing a dilemma, Eira decided to act and asked for help.

  • “Nid oeddwn wedi gweld rhywbeth tebyg,” cytunodd Gethin y tro hwn, wrth fachu ei gwch, “Ond rwy’n gwirioni ar greadigrwydd!”

“I hadn’t seen anything like it,” Gethin agreed this time, while docking his boat, “But I love the creativity!”

  • Er gwaethaf y superstitions, daeth Gethin ac Eira at ei gilydd gyda rhestr o wybodaeth gan bobl y marina.

Despite the superstitions, Gethin and Eira came together with a list of information from the people of the marina.

  • Roedd Rhosyn, gyda’i synnwyr busnes barn, wedi bod y clustiau i'r si a’r digwyddiadau.

Rhosyn, with her sharp business sense, had been all ears to the gossip and the happenings.

  • Noson Calan Gaeaf, gydag awyr tywyll fel sefyllfa.

Calan Gaeaf night, with a dark sky like a tableau.

  • Daeth hwyl osgordd blwcwr a llusernau dynion at eu gilydd.

There was a flow of dockworkers and men's lanterns coming together.

  • Wrth fynd at ei le, yr oedd y gwrthrych mewn gwirionedd arteg hen hanes – gyda marciau dirgel wedi’u cyfleu ar ei orchudd.

Upon their arrival, the object was indeed an artifact of old history - with mysterious markings inscribed on its cover.

  • Gwnaeth hyn cwestiynau newydd yn ei dro, cwestiynau o fel, pan a pham ei bod yn cyrraedd yma.

This led to new questions in turn, questions of how, when, and why it arrived here.

  • Ffrwydrodd trafodaeth yn ei gorau ymysg y cydymdeimlad, gyda straeon Rhosyn yn symbylu cyfrinachedd eu cyfarfyddiad.

Discussion exploded at its best among the crowd, with Rhosyn's stories inspiring the secrecy of their encounter.

  • Haerai Gethin hon eto, ond o'r diwedd, byddai'n derbyn yr anrhydedd a haerwyd am ei sgiliau ac ymchwil.

Gethin boasted once more, but ultimately, he would receive the honor claimed for his skills and research.

  • Ddaru Eira yn sylweddoli, bod cyfle i uno hanes a’r dylluan er mwyn gosod rhywbeth yn symud i ddyfodol.

Eira realized there was an opportunity to merge history and science to set something in motion for the future.

  • Mae'r gymuned wedi mabwysiadu thema newydd wedi rhannu straeon ac wedi tynnu gwres o eu cofiant.

The community had adopted a new theme, sharing stories and drawing warmth from their memories.

  • Mae ardaith Eira wedi bod yn cyfoethogi ei hyder, wedi gwrthod iddo’i hun wrth iddynt ddarganfod hen neges cryptig wedi'i ynghudd – cyfrinach wedi gwthio plant i mewn i newydd, ddeunydd gwerthfawr i'w maes ymdocciau.

Eira's journey had enriched her confidence, had denied to herself as they discovered an old cryptic message hidden - a secret that pushed children into a new, valuable material for their study fields.

  • Wedi i lawer o wagedd a chaws rhaid: “Pan fyddwn ni i gyd at ei gilydd, rydym yn cael ei gilydd yn well,” meddyliodd Eira wrth orymdeithio gyda phulleith.

After much ado and cheese must: “When we all come together, we find each other better,” thought Eira while parading with delight.

  • Enillydd y teulu - roedd cynysgaeth newydd i mwynhau ar gyfer Marina Abertawe.

A new endowment was to be enjoyed for Marina Abertawe.
