  • Yr oedd awyrgylch crasboeth ac oerni Hydrefol yn llenwi'r awyr wrth i Eira a Gareth gychwyn ar daith eu bywyd.

The atmosphere of scorching heat and autumnal chill filled the air as Eira and Gareth embarked on the journey of their lives.

  • Yr oedd y ddau yn eistedd mewn car bach, llawn cerrig a dail melynion, gan deithio trwy dirwedd anhygoel Eryri.

The two were sitting in a small car, full of stones and yellow leaves, traveling through the incredible landscape of Eryri.

  • Roedd eu teithiau drosodd drwy bentrefi bychain, addurnedig â chalonau dynol mewn ffenestri a phwmpenni’n gwenu’n wên ar hyd y llwybrau gefeillio.

Their travels took them through small villages, adorned with human hearts in windows and pumpkins smiling along the twinned paths.

  • Eira, gyda mapiau wedi’u trefnu’n ofalus wrth ei ochr, roedd yn gwybod lle bob cilometr ymlaen.

Eira, with maps carefully arranged by her side, knew the location of every kilometer ahead.

  • "Mae rhaid i ni fynd i’r lle cywir," meddai, ei llais yn llawn penderfyniad.

"We have to go to the right place," she said, her voice full of determination.

  • Roedd gan ei thad hoff fan ar gopa Mynyddion Eryri, lle roedd bob amser yn stopio ac yn edrych draw at ddau o'r llynnoedd hyfrytaf.

Her father had a favorite spot on the summit of the Eryri Mountains, where he always stopped and looked over two of the loveliest lakes.

  • Heddiw, dyma lle bydden nhw'n gwasgaru'i lwch.

Today, this is where they would scatter his ashes.

  • Ond Gareth, bellach, roedd wedi ei fygwth gan yr atgofau aflonydd bu’n cymryd rhan gyda’u tad. "Dylai pethau fod yn wahanol," chwythodd yntau drwy’i ddannedd.

But Gareth, now plagued by unsettling memories of times he'd spent with their father, said, "Things should have been different," through gritted teeth.

  • Roedd yr ymdeimlad o bechod yn ei frifo’n ddifrifol; herfa bob cam y ffordd.

The sense of guilt was severely wounding him; a challenge every step of the way.

  • Gwrthododd Eira adael y tensiwn eu cysylltiad niweidio’r nod a roedden nhw am gyflawni.

Eira refused to let the tension in their relationship harm the goal they wanted to achieve.

  • "Mae'n bwysig ein bod ni'n gwneud hyn," dywedodd yn dyner.

"It's important that we do this," she said gently.

  • Roedd y ffordd yn troi oddi ar y prif lwybr, gan ddod â nhw wyneb yn wyneb gyda’r rhugyl ym mhobman, y coed yn dawnsio mewn cynnwrf euraid o'u cwmpas.

The road turned off the main path, bringing them face to face with the heather everywhere, the trees dancing in a golden frenzy around them.

  • Yna, fel gelyn yr oeddent wedi’i anwybyddu, torrodd yn glir car y teulu.

Then, like an ignored enemy, the family car broke down.

  • Dim trydan. Dim erthyglau ar eu ffordd bellach.

No power. No articles on their way anymore.

  • Roedd Gareth yn rhuthro allan, yn manteisio ar gyfleoedd i gael gwared ar ei boen, wrth ei chwaer a alwodd am gymorth gan unrhyw un fyddai'n pasio.

Gareth rushed out, seizing opportunities to rid himself of his pain, while his sister called for assistance from anyone passing by.

  • Ond yr oedd Gareth eisiau cymryd mantais o’r munud tawel, cael sgwrs gyda’i chwaer.

But Gareth wanted to take advantage of the quiet moment to have a conversation with his sister.

  • "Wyt ti'n meddwl am amseroedd gwael yn unig?" gofynnodd Gareth, ei lygaid yn dwfn a phell.

"Do you only think of bad times?" Gareth asked, his eyes deep and distant.

  • "Dw i ddim wedi anghofio," atebodd Eira, "ond rhaid i ni hefyd gofio’r amseroedd da."

"I haven't forgotten," replied Eira, "but we must also remember the good times."

  • Tra'r ddaear yn dynn o dan eu traed, daeth y ddau i ddeall fod y man penodol llai o bwys nag efe rywle, lle roeddent yn gallu rhannu eu gofidiau a'u llawenydd.

While the ground held tight beneath their feet, the two came to understand that the specific spot was less important than being somewhere where they could share their sorrows and joys.

  • Trwy sŵn y dail yn symud, daethant i bendant: byddent yn dewis lle hardd gerllaw. Lle a oedd yn llefaru o'r llawen ac o'r chwerw tuag atynt.

Through the sound of the moving leaves, they came to a conclusion: they would choose a beautiful nearby location, which spoke both joy and bitterness to them.

  • "Hyn fydd y lle," dywedodd Gareth yn dawel, gyda thwf gobaith.

"This will be the place," Gareth said quietly, with a growing sense of hope.

  • Ar ben bryn bach, daeth cyfle i’r ddau wared ar lwch eu tad.

At the top of a small hill, the two found an opportunity to let go of their father's ashes.

  • Gwnaethon nhw hi’n ei ffordd: nid yn berffaith, ond eiliad o gyfeillgarwch a rhyddhad.

They did it in their own way: not perfectly, but as a moment of camaraderie and relief.

  • Roedd Eira wedi dysgu rhywbeth gwerthfawr.

    Eira had learned something valuable.

  • Nid oedd popeth angen bod yn ôl cynllun strwythuredig.

Not everything needed to be according to a structured plan.

  • Dyw Gareth, yn ei dro, wedi cael cyfle i symud ymlaen o’i bechn.

Gareth, in turn, had the chance to move on from his guilt.

  • Roeddent ill dau yn hŷn o’r profiad, yn addaw dim mwy na'r teimlad braf o adael llonydd lle roedd angen.

They both grew older from the experience, promising nothing more than the pleasant feeling of leaving stillness where it was needed.

  • A dyna fel y gorffennodd daith arddangosus, llawn deimladau tywyll a calonau symudol, yn adeiladu newydd ystyr o gartref mewn alawon Eryri.

And so ended an eventful journey, full of dark emotions and moving hearts, building a new sense of home in the melodies of Eryri.

  • Roedd y cwmwl difaru yn codi, yn rhoi ffordd i aelwydydd newydd o ddealltwriaeth a maddeuant.

The cloud of regret lifted, giving way to new hearths of understanding and forgiveness.
