In the midst of the verdant hills and winding paths leading towards majestic peaks, there is a village named Clogwyn Uchaf situated.

  • Yn ystod haf cynnes, roedd y pentrefwyr yn dechrau sibrwd am arteffact hynafol a ddiflannodd yn sydyn.

During a warm summer, the villagers began to whisper about an ancient artifact that suddenly disappeared.

  • Roedd y pentref wedi ei adnabod am ei hanes byd-enwog, ond erbyn hyn, roedd ei thraddodiadau wedi'u llorio gan y mister.

The village was known for its world-famous history, but now, its traditions were overshadowed by the mystery.

  • Gareth oedd yr arweinydd lleol, gyda'i natur chwilfrydig yn cynnal pob ymwelydd.

Gareth was the local leader, with his curious nature entertaining every visitor.

Nevertheless, when the artifact vanished, Gareth immediately decided to find it.

  • "Rhaid datrys hyn," meddai wrth ei hun yn dawel, "nid yn unig i'r pentref, ond i mi fy hun."

"This must be solved," he quietly told himself, "not just for the village, but for myself."

  • Ar yr un pryd, roedd Eira, hanesydd brwdfrydig o Gaerdydd, yn y pentref yn ymchwilio ar gyfer ei hastudiaethau.

At the same time, Eira, an enthusiastic historian from Caerdydd (Cardiff), was in the village conducting research for her studies.

  • "Mister i'w ddatrys? Dyna sy'n gwneud hanes yn gyffrous," meddai wrth Gareth, gyda sglein angerdd yn ei llygaid.

"A mystery to solve? That's what makes history exciting," she said to Gareth, with a gleam of passion in her eyes.

  • Roedden nhw'n ffurfio tîm, ac roedd Gareth yn dweud wrthi am y pentref a'r pobl gyfrinachgar a'i drigolion.

They formed a team, and Gareth told her about the village and its secretive people and residents.

  • O'n bwriad daeth Llewellyn y henadur distaw ar eu traws.

Out of intention, they encountered Llewellyn, the silent elder.

  • Roedd ganddo wybod rhagor na'r hyn yr oedd yn ddweud.

He knew more than he was letting on.

  • Roedd Gareth yn pendroni, "A 'fi'n gallu ymddiried yn Eira i ddatgelu gwybodaeth gyfrinachol am y pentref, neu ddylwn i wynebu Llewellyn gyda beth yn ei dywyll?"

Gareth wondered, "Can I trust Eira to reveal secret information about the village, or should I confront Llewellyn with him in the dark?"

  • Wrth hwylio ar y llwybrau creigiog, ddod o hyd i hen ddogfennau mewn archifau llac a hanner annarllenadwy.

As they ventured along the rocky paths, they found old documents in loose, half-unreadable archives.

  • Roedd yr arwyddion mor ddigonol i’w rhwyddynt i gamau oes.

The signs were sufficiently guiding them through steps of an era.

  • Ar ôl manylion manwl, buont yn defnyddio'r dogfennau hyn wedi’u hen rhoddir Llewellyn yn bod lle o fewn y pentref, yng nghanol y fyddin garreg.

After detailed scrutiny, they used these documents previously entrusted by Llewellyn to locate a place within the village, in the middle of the stone army.

  • Pan gyrhaeddon nhw'r o’r islawr, gêm fawdlawn o oleuni o’r arfateidio llonyddgar a sicr.

When they reached the cellar, a majestic glow of light from the tranquil artifact was certain.

  • Arf wynebu Llewellyn, ddangosodd lleoedd yr hanes dywyll.

Facing Llewellyn, it revealed places of dark history.

  • Datgelodd Llewellyn ddynodiad, arteffact yn wyneb.

Llewellyn explained, showing its designation, the artifact itself.

  • "Roeddwn i mewn carchar o ddychryn," meddai Llewellyn yn dawel, "y byddai'r arteffact hwn yn tarfu ar heddychlon y pentref."

"I was imprisoned by fear," he said quietly, "that this artifact would disrupt the peacefulness of the village."

  • Trwy ddewis dewr Draddodiad Gareth i cwestiynu ei hun, cafodd ei atebion.

Through Gareth's courageous choice to question himself, he found his answers.

  • Yn ogystal, canmol Llewellyn y dychymyg a chychwyn eu gyda ac 'r hanes ar yr amgylchiadau ar ei wyneb.

In addition, he praised Llewellyn's imagination and began anew with history in the circumstances at hand.

  • Roedd Gareth wedi cynnydd yn ei ffydd ynddi ei hun, o'r pentref ei hun.

Gareth had gained confidence in himself, and in the village itself.

  • Dysgodd yn ddi-os... erbynwy o'r pentrefoedd y gorau yw wynebu hunanfleu.

He learned, undoubtedly... that from such villages, the best is to face oneself.
