  • Mae'r haul yn gwenu'n llachar dros Fawddach, llyn sy'n gysgodi o dan gysgod mynyddoedd ac uchelfannau gwych Eryri.

The sun shone brightly over Fawddach, a lake sheltered under the shadow of the magnificent mountains and highlands of Eryri.

  • Roedd yr aer yn gynnes gyda gwynt mân yn chwifio trwy'r coed.

The air was warm with a gentle breeze swaying through the trees.

  • Yn y gwersyll, roedd Gareth yn pryfocio ac yn annog Eleri i ymuno ag ef ar daith canŵ ar draws y llyn.

At the campsite, Gareth was teasing and encouraging Eleri to join him on a canoe trip across the lake.

  • Roedd Gareth dan ei sang â chyffro.

    Gareth was brimming with excitement.

  • Wrth sicrhau bod ras gwaedlyd yn britho iddo, roedd Gareth yn gwisgo het a mwgwd haul, gan edrych fel crwydryn iawn.

With a thrill rushing through him, he wore a hat and a sun mask, looking quite the wanderer.

  • "Mewn am antur!

    "Ready for an adventure!"

  • " gwaeddodd Gareth wrth i Eleri osod y pecyn haearn cast ar y traeth tywodlyd.

shouted Gareth as Eleri set the cast iron griddle down on the sandy beach.

  • "Addewais y bydd yn ddiogel, ac nawr rydym wedi cyrraedd yma, mae'r llyn yn ein gwahodd.

"I promised it would be safe, and now that we've arrived here, the lake is inviting us.

  • Dewch ymlaen, Eleri!

    Come on, Eleri!"

  • "Roedd Eleri fel arfer yn fwy amharod.

    Eleri was usually more hesitant.

  • "Wedi i'r cwbl, Gareth, ddylet ti ddim bod mor siŵr," dywedodd hi'n traul.

"After all, Gareth, you shouldn't be so sure," she said cautiously.

  • "Dylem wirio'r canŵ yn gyntaf.

"We should check the canoe first."

  • "Ond roedd Gareth wedi'i benderfynu.

    But Gareth was determined.

  • Gyda llawenydd, cafodd y canŵ ei ddwyn i mewn i'r dŵr wedi'i ddilyn gan ffrind ffyddlon Eleri.

With glee, the canoe was carried into the water, followed by faithful friend Eleri.

  • Ychydig y tro cyntaf, roedd y llyn fel gwydr, ac roedd popeth yn ymddangos yn berffaith.

At first, the lake was like glass, and everything seemed perfect.

  • Dan chin ganu'r tonau, roedd fythlondeb yr amgylchedd yn sythu eu synnwyr o hygod a hyder.

Under the melody of the waves, the tranquility of the environment bolstered their sense of ease and confidence.

  • Fodd bynnag, daeth llawer cyn gynted!

    However, much came sooner!

  • Wrth i'r canŵ adael y tir, sylwai Eleri ar ddŵr yn cronni ar waelod y canŵ.

As the canoe left the shore, Eleri noticed water accumulating at the bottom of the canoe.

  • "Gareth, edrychwch ar hyn!

    "Gareth, look at this!

  • Mae dŵr!

    There's water!"

  • " Roedd ei llais yn gyflym yn erbyn tân.

    Her voice quickly turned urgent.

  • Roedd ei thrawsffurfio o awyrhydedd i bryder yn amlwg.

Her transformation from calm to concern was evident.

  • "Nadra i, nid yw'n ddifrifol, ond rydym yn hwylio," atebodd Gareth, gan wthio ymlaen at eu taith fendigedig.

"No worries, it’s not serious, and we’re sailing," replied Gareth, pressing ahead with their delightful voyage.

  • Ond wrth i'r canŵ lithro ar draws yr wyneb dŵr, roedd y dŵr yn cronni'n gyflym.

But as the canoe glided across the water's surface, the water began to accumulate rapidly.

  • Roedd Gareth yn dal i fod yn benderfynol.

    Gareth remained determined.

  • "Bydd popeth yn iawn," meddai eto.

"Everything will be fine," he insisted again.

  • "Rydym wedi dod i flosio'r profiad hwn.

"We've come to savor this experience."

  • "Cyn bo hir, roeddynt yn ymddiried yn y gwynt ac yn carlamu tuag atynt ar ben arall y llyn.

Before long, they trusted the wind and sped towards the other side of the lake.

  • Ond wrth i'r dŵr gnocio llygadgorn eu canŵ, bedder Ethan.

But as the water knocked the hull of their canoe, Eleri moaned.

  • "Mae adegau i gynnig ac amserau i ddychwelyd, Gareth," griddfanodd Eleri, am y realiti o fewn bryd o lansio.

"There are times to venture and times to return, Gareth," she groaned, facing the reality as they were about to set off.

  • "Wrth hinteio, mae'n rhaid i ni fynd yn ôl.

"Indeed, we have to go back."

  • "Roedd Gareth yn wynebu'r pwynt gwaethaf.

    Gareth faced the worst point.

  • Roedd yr hyn a ddechreuodd fel antur wrthod asgell wedi agor tudalen newydd yn ei feddwl.

What began as an adventure had opened a new chapter in his mind.

  • "Greai," atebodd, gyda balchder yn lleihau.

"Right," he admitted, with pride diminishing.

  • "Dewch ymlaen!

    "Let's go!"

  • "Wrth i'r ddau fitr fewn y canŵ trasogol, roedd y taith yn edrych fel saglau o dan eu pen.

As the two fit back into the capsizing canoe, the journey seemed to spin beneath them.

  • Roedd y tonau yn llifio'n gryfach, ond gyda chydymffurfiaeth, clustfelio eu ffordd yn ôl at y lan, tra bo'r canŵ yn gweiddi am ollwng allan o'u gafael.

The waves flowed more forcefully, but with compliance, they navigated their way back to the shore, while the canoe screamed to be released from their grip.

  • Wrth draed y traeth, ymlusgodd Gareth a Eleri allan, yn wlyb ond bodedig.

At the foot of the beach, Gareth and Eleri crawled out, wet but relieved.

  • "Mae'r daith gerbydau dralm o Eryri wedi dysgu gwers i mi," dywedodd Gareth, gan edrych ar Eleri, ei llygaid yn adlewyrchu ymddiheuriad tawel.

"The perilous ride from Eryri has taught me a lesson," said Gareth, looking at Eleri, his eyes reflecting a quiet apology.

  • "Rhaid i mi wrando arnat ti'r tro nesaf.

"I must listen to you next time."

  • "Roedd Eleri yn cynnig gwên cysurus.

    Eleri offered a comforting smile.

  • "Ie, a gwnewch hynny cyn i ni gwaithych arall," aeth hi ar ei hôl, yn ymuno â'r gymuned o natur gan ddisgleirio.

"Yes, and do so before we embark on another venture," she replied, joining the community of nature with a glowing spirit.

  • Ac felly, chwaraeodd haul canol haf wrth iddynt eu troauc ddim yn syml yn buddugoliaeth, ond mewn gwers a gwybodaeth a oedd yn nodweddu Gareth ac Eleri ar daith arall o wylio.

And so, the midsummer sun played as they turned a simple outing into not just a triumph, but a lesson and understanding that characterized Gareth and Eleri on another watching journey.

  • Roedd yr addewid o anturiaethau yn dal i losgi mewn modd mwy cynhyrchiol.

The promise of adventures still burned in a more enlightened way.
