  • Wrth i'r haul setlo dros orielau godidog Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Caerdydd, roedd gwaith carwriaeth y tair cymeriad mewn tŷ ysbryd o ysbrydoliaeth newydd a chynhysgaeth gynhanesyddol yn hollgofodol.

As the sun set over the magnificent galleries of Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Caerdydd, the work of courtship among the three characters in a house of spiritual inspiration and prehistoric heritage was all-encompassing.

  • Roedd Ioan, curadur brwd gyda pharch mawr at hanes Cymru, yn sefyll yn y canol.

Ioan, an enthusiastic curator with great respect for the history of Wales, stood in the middle.

  • Roedd ei olwg yn brathu â brwdfrydedd wrth i ef ddod a chontractwrion i osod taflunyddion modern efo y cerfluniau hynafol o gerrig.

His gaze was filled with enthusiasm as he brought in contractors to install modern projectors alongside the ancient stone sculptures.

  • Roedd Ioan yn edrych ymlaen at Sostis yr Haf, cyfle i uno'r hen a'r newydd trwy ddefnyddio technoleg i ddod â'r arteffactau hyn yn fyw.

Ioan was looking forward to the Summer Solstice, an opportunity to unite the old and the new by using technology to bring these artifacts to life.

  • Yn agos ato, Carys, intern mwyn ei natur, yn gwylio pob symudiad gyda llygad dysgu.

Close to him was Carys, a naturally pleasant intern, watching every movement with a learning eye.

  • Roedd hi'n amser dysgu am dreftadaeth ei gwlad, a chreu cysylltiadau modern gyda'r gorffennol.

It was time for her to learn about her country's heritage and to create modern connections with the past.

  • Ar y llaw arall, roedd Emyr, y hanesydd profiadol, yn sefyll yn gefn y neuadd.

On the other hand, Emyr, the experienced historian, stood at the back of the hall.

  • Roedd ei lygaid hallt yn ystyried y cyfleusterau newydd gyda amheuaeth.

His critical eyes surveyed the new facilities with skepticism.

  • "Rhaid yw cadw stori yr hen fel y bu," meddai, ei lais yn llenwi'r gofod rhwng cariad i'r hen a'r newydd.

"The story of the past must be preserved as it was," he said, his voice filling the space between a love for the old and the new.

  • Roedd ei farn yn glir: yr hanes ydy'r hanes.

His opinion was clear: history is history.

  • Dechreuodd tirwedd y oriel ddisgleirio wrth i Ioan benderfynu troi ar y taflunyddion i greu argraff flaenllaw.

The landscape of the gallery began to shine as Ioan decided to turn on the projectors to make a prominent impression.

  • Roedd Carys, â'i gwybod bod rhywbeth mwy yn y dyfodol, a helpu.

Carys, knowing there was something more in the future, helped.

  • Ond, chefai hi'n anodd beth oedd y ffordd orau i ateb y sefyllfa, ei deimladau'n gwrthdaro â'r amgythiad rhwng Ioan ac Emyr.

Yet, she found it difficult to decide the best way to respond to the situation, her feelings clashing with the tension between Ioan and Emyr.

  • Wrth i noswyl yr arddangosfa agosáu, roedd yr adnewyddu wedi cyffroi, ond roedd cyffro fel mwg ysu tân yn cael ei dorri gan fethiant technegol annisgwyl – fe ddisgleiriodd deallusion Ioan gyda llawn golchiadau myrdd o fewn eiliad.

As the evening of the exhibition approached, the renovation had excited, but excitement was like the smoke of a burning fire cut short by an unexpected technical failure—Ioan's insights flashed with a myriad of washes in a second.

  • Fe ddaeth tensiwn i'r brig, wrth i Ioan a Emyr wynebu eu pryderon, diolch i glic llawn tensiwn.

Tension reached its peak, as Ioan and Emyr faced their concerns, thanks to a moment full of tension.

  • Ac felly, fe benderfynodd Emyr serennu, gan godi ei lais yn y cyfuniad – fe'r addasodd ei wybodaeth ddofn am y cariwisiaeth i bortreadu naratifau hiliog y gwaith cof mewn ffordd a oedd yn addysg na'r elfenau'r ychwanegu.

And so, Emyr decided to shine, raising his voice in combination—he adapted his deep knowledge of the exhibition to portray racially charged narratives in a way that educated beyond the added elements.

  • Tystrodd Carys, a dysgodd hi roedd y syniadau gorau'n digwydd trwy weithio gyda'i gilydd.

Carys witnessed, and she learned that the best ideas happen through collaboration.

  • Nid oedd rhaid iddi dewis – roedd y dulliau traddodiadol a'r rhai newydd yn gallu cydblethu i weithio gyda'i gilydd.

She did not have to choose—the traditional methods and the new ones could intertwine to work together.

  • Ar ddiwedd y noson, ymddangosodd y arteffactau, efo naratif haniaethol newydd wedi'i gynnwys.

At the end of the night, the artifacts appeared with a new abstract narrative included.

  • Roedd Ioan, eisoes cyfoethog gyda gwybodaeth newydd am sut i gyfuno technoleg â traddodiadau, yn cytuno.

Ioan, already enriched with new knowledge on how to combine technology with traditions, agreed.

  • Emyr, iddo y duedd tuag at y heddiw wedi dod i welw yn ei feddwl, yn llyncu cu pledio â'i wên yn naturiol.

Emyr, whose tendency towards the present had faded in his mind, swallowed his plea with a natural smile.

  • Fe ddarganfyddodd y tri bod hanes yn fyw gyda meddyliau traddodiadol yn cael marc arbennig – yn ymestyn rhwng y gorffennol a'r presennol.

The three discovered that history is alive with traditional thoughts having a special mark—extending between the past and the present.

  • Roedd Carys, nawdd o'r ddau, bellach yn teimlo ei llais yn ei dyfeisiau.

Carys, supported by both, now felt her voice in her inventions.

  • Gallai pawb weld bod stori pobl Cymru yn byw trwy fyw, llawn olygfeydd, llawn o lleisiau, loywyddi a chanafannau.

Everyone could see that the story of the Welsh people lived through vibrant, eventful scenes, full of voices, soliloquies, and choruses.

  • Roedd yr hen ysbrydion yn dal i sibrwd eu straeon wrth iddynt barhau i ganu glŵy.

The old spirits still whispered their tales as they continued to sing praise.
