  • Wrth i'r haul codi dros Gastell Caernarfon, roedd y dŵr yn y Fenai yn gwenu o dan y golau newydd y bore.

As the sun rose over Castell Caernarfon, the water in the Fenai gleamed under the new morning light.

  • Geraint a Megan oedd yn sefyll ar lawr cerrig oer un o'r tyrau tal.

Geraint and Megan stood on the cold stone floor of one of the tall towers.

  • Yno, aethant â dodrefn a bocsys o bethau o'r tŷ teuluol, yn barod i'w rhannu.

There, they brought furniture and boxes of belongings from the family house, ready to be divided.

  • Roedd Geraint, y brawd hynaf, yn dal cofrestr gyda rhestr o holl yr etifeddiaethau.

Geraint, the older brother, held a register with a list of all the inheritances.

  • Roedd ei lygad yn rhewllyd wrth iddo edrych ar y papur, yn geidwadol ac yn ymarferol ym mhob penderfyniad.

His gaze was icy as he looked at the paper, conservative and practical in every decision.

  • Megan, y chwaer ieuengaf, stondinodd o fewn ei theimladau.

Megan, the younger sister, stood lost in her feelings.

  • Wrth roi golwg hir ar y llwy garu hwnnw, oedd o am bwys arbennig iddi, llygadodd hi i Geraint.

As she gave a long look at the love spoon, which was of special significance to her, she glanced at Geraint.

  • “Rydw i eisiau cadw'r llwy,” meddai Megan yn dawel, gan gynnig ei llaw i gyffwrdd â'r llwy coed hardd.

"I want to keep the spoon," said Megan quietly, reaching out her hand to touch the beautiful wooden spoon.

  • “Mae’n ein cysylltu â’u rhieni.

"It connects us to our parents."

  • ”Ond roedd Geraint yn ymroddedig i degwch.

But Geraint was dedicated to fairness.

  • “Mae'r llwy yn eiddo i ni'r ddau.

"The spoon belongs to both of us.

  • Dylem ei rannu'n hafal.

    We should share it equally.

  • Rwy'n cynnig creu system droi, bydd data'n cadw yn ei thro.

I suggest we create a rotating system, where each keeps it in turn."

  • ”Dyma oedd gan Megan ei awgrym ei hun.

    Megan had her own suggestion.

  • “Byddwn yn rhoi'r fedydd arian fy modryb gydag ystod arall o lyfrau, fel eich bod chi'n cael rhywbeth naturiol ar gyfer eich tŷ hefyd.

"I will give the silver christening bowl of my aunt along with another set of books, so you get something natural for your house too."

  • ”Aeth y sgwrs ymlaen yn y tŵr, lle cronnai y rhwystredigaeth rhwng y ddau.

The conversation went on in the tower, where the frustration between the two accumulated.

  • Roedd echo'r eiddo, y cymynweiriedd o hanes yn arteithio'r waliau'r castell.

The echo of ownership, the legacy of history, tormented the castle walls.

  • “Megan, cafodd Mam ddatgelu bod y llwy hon wedi'i cherfio gan hen hen dad y tad,” gwrthwynebiadodd Geraint, canfod ei frawdoliaeth go iawn i'r llwy.

"Megan, Mom revealed that this spoon was carved by our great-great-grandfather," objected Geraint, finding his true kinship to the spoon.

  • Roedd hyn yn cynnig mwy o bwys iddi na byth.

This gave it more significance than ever.

  • A wnaethant sylweddoli bod y llwy wedi bod yn symbol o gariad dros genedlaethau.

They realized that the spoon had been a symbol of love for generations.

  • Cytunodd y frawddegau i'w rhannu'n barchus â'r system droi.

The siblings agreed to share it respectfully with the rotating system.

  • Felly y gadwasant y tudwal, ond ddaw'nt i'r penderfyniad i barchu'r ddyniaeth a'r ymarferoldeb.

Thus, they preserved the keepsake while deciding to honor both sentimentality and practicality.

  • Wrth ddal y llwy, daeth gwir ystyr “cariad” atynt erbyn hyn.

As they held the spoon, the true meaning of "love" came to them.

  • Roedd Megan yn dysgu y gwerth o benderfyniadau cyfrifol, tra bod Geraint yn dechrau deall y pwysau teimladol o draddodiadau’r teulu.

Megan learned the value of responsible decisions, while Geraint began to understand the emotional weight of family traditions.

  • Ac ar y diwedd hon, roedd y ddau wyneb yn wyneb ag y wahanol ond wedi uno fuddiant.

And in the end, they were face to face with their differences but united in interest.
