  • Yn y tundra Arctig, gwlad fendigedig yr eira tragwyddol, roedd y gwynt yn chwythu'n chwyrn dros yr ehangder o iâ.

In the Arctic tundra, the blessed land of eternal snow, the wind was fiercely blowing over the vast expanse of ice.

  • Roedd Aled, anturiaethwr penderfynol, yn edrych ymlaen at y dydd o'i flaen.

Aled, a determined adventurer, was looking forward to the day ahead.

  • Roedd hi'n gynnar yn y gwanwyn, ond roedd y ddaear eto wedi'i gorchuddio gyda rhew barhaus.

It was early spring, but the ground was still covered with perpetual frost.

  • Roedd yr haul, er ychydig dros y gorwel, yn taflu goleuni gwan ar wyneb yr iâ blith, yn ei wneud ymddangos fel môr heb ddiwedd.

The sun, barely above the horizon, cast a faint light on the surface of the brittle ice, making it appear like an endless sea.

  • O'i flaen, roedd Carys a'i thîm yn arwain y ffordd.

Ahead of him, Carys and her team were leading the way.

  • Roedd y ddau dîm mewn ras gyflym i gyrraedd arteffact hynafol, cudd o dan yr iâ.

The two teams were in a fast race to reach an ancient artifact, hidden beneath the ice.

  • Arteffact a fyddai'n dod â chyfansoddiad newydd i hanes y tir garw hwn.

An artifact that would bring a new understanding to the history of this harsh land.

  • Roedd Emrys, cydymaith ffyddlon Aled, wrth ei ochr.

Emrys, Aled's loyal companion, was by his side.

  • “Ydych chi’n siŵr, Aled? Mae’r eira yn dod yn gyflym,” meddai, bryderus.

"Are you sure, Aled? The snow is coming quickly," he said, worried.

  • Roedd cwmwl o eira yn tywyllu'r de, gan roi ystyr newydd i'r ras hon.

A cloud of snow was darkening the south, giving new meaning to this race.

  • Aled frwynai ei ddechreuad anodd a'r dymuniad i ddangos iddo’i dad ei werth.

Aled was spurred by his difficult start and the desire to prove his worth to his father.

  • “Nid oes gennyf ddewis,” meddai. “Rhaid inni barhau.”

"I have no choice," he said. "We must continue."

  • Cawsant or-dreulio ar eu ffordd, gan ddal i fynd ymlaen drwy wynt a pupur y gaeaf.

They pressed on their way, enduring wind and the biting cold of winter.

  • Yn gyflym, roedd y storm yn ei gorffen yn ei llawn nerth.

Quickly, the storm rose to its full strength.

  • Oren oedd yr haul, lledrithiol o dan orwel yr eira, wedi darfod.

The sun was orange, barely a glimmer below the snow horizon, gone.

  • Cyrhaeddodd y lle cawr â chledrau sydyn wrth i'r gwynt ganu fel corau o hen straeon.

They reached the massive place with sudden gusts as the wind sang like choirs from ancient tales.

  • Aled, mewn amrantiad, canfu iddo hithe i'r arteffact.

Aled, in an instant, discovered the artifact.

  • Ei galon yn lladd yr un dant fel yr un tro cyntaf.

His heart beat with the same excitement as the first time.

  • Yr arteffact yr oedd wedi hir itheu, roedd o wareiddiad a ddarfododd erioed. Arianol ac amhrisiadwy.

The artifact he had long sought belonged to a civilization that had vanished long ago, silver and priceless.

  • Y rhannau oedd yn adrodd hanes hynafol, gobeithio i ddod â chyfaddawd a pharch.

The pieces told an ancient story, hoping to bring compromise and respect.

  • Ond yna, taflwyd i waelod realiti.

    But then, reality hit hard.

  • Roedd y gwynt, yn cael ei chwythu gan gorwynt y storm, yn adrodd stori arall.

The wind, driven by the storm's fury, told a different story.

  • Roedd y llifogydd o eira yn cau gydag eraill ar och i Aled.

The flurries of snow closed in tightly around Aled.

  • Doedd dim ffordd allan.

    There was no way out.

  • Yn sydyn, dywedodd Carys, a hithau'n dod i'w resgri.

Suddenly, Carys spoke, reaching a realization.

  • “Digon! Rhaid inni gydweithio neu byddwn i gyd yn traps.”

"Enough! We must work together, or we'll all be trapped."

  • Gyda chalon drom, cytunodd Aled.

With a heavy heart, Aled agreed.

  • Y tylwyth yn cerdded yn ofalus, yn symud fel un.

The group moved carefully, walking as one.

  • Yn olaf, roedd y storm wedi ildio’i rym i gychwyn y gwanwyn, a’r gobaith oedd yn arwain y ffordd gartref.

At last, the storm yielded its power to the onset of spring, and hope led the way home.

  • Roedd Aled wedi dysgu bod teyrngarwch a chydweithio'n fwy gwerthfawr na pheidio lloi personol.

Aled had learned that loyalty and cooperation were more valuable than personal glory.

  • Ac felly, y stori hwn yw mamgu newydd.

And so, this is the new grandmother's story.

  • Roedd cyfeillgarwch a chydweithrediad yn adrodd hanes yr arteffact a diwylliant pobl oedd wedi i farw, ond nid yng nghof y byw.

Friendship and collaboration told the tale of the artifact and the culture of a people long gone, but not from the memory of the living.

  • Ymhlith athrawon, roedd y dystiolaeth dan yr iâ, ond o’r un mor ganolog, roedd y ddatblygasaeth ar gyfer yr wyneb i blant.

Among teachers, the evidence was buried under the ice, but equally central was the development for the children on the surface.
