Mae adeg o brysurdeb yn yr Heddlu Canolog Caerdydd.
There is a busy time at the Heddlu Canolog Caerdydd (Central Cardiff Police).
Mae Rhian yn cerdded i mewn, ei chalon yn curo gyda phryder.
Rhian walks in, her heart beating with anxiety.
Mae'n hydref, ac mae'r dail trwm yn plygu'r coed allan yn y stryd.
It is autumn, and the heavy leaves bend the trees outside on the street.
Mae hinsawdd y penawdau newydd ychydig yn oer ac mae oglau'r glaw yn teimlo'n glir.
The atmosphere of the police headquarters is slightly chilly, and the smell of rain feels clear.
Rhian yn cwrdd â Gareth yn y dderbynfa.
Rhian meets Gareth at the reception.
Mae o'n swyddog profiadol, ac er bod hiraeth wedi treiddio ei wyneb, mae mwg haniaethol o ras a thynerwch yn ei lygaid.
He is an experienced officer, and although nostalgia has etched his face, there's an abstract mist of grace and gentleness in his eyes.
"Bore da," meddai, a thynnu cwfl ei got i lawr, gan ddangos ei gwallt gwelwi.
"Good morning," he says, pulling down the hood of his coat, revealing his graying hair.
"Dwi angen eich help," meddai Rhian.
"I need your help," Rhian says.
"Mae croeso i chi yma," atebodd Gareth yn dawel, "Ond rhaid cofio bod ni'n brysur dros ben.
"You are welcome here," Gareth replies quietly, "But you must remember we are extremely busy."
"Mae Rhian yn rhoi manylion.
Rhian provides details.
Y clustog a golledodd, gyda delwedd wedi'i engrafio o'i henchwéred a'i gobaith am adfer yr heirloom gwerthfawr.
The lost cushion, with an engraved image of her foremother and her hope to recover the precious heirloom.
"Roedd o'n eiddo fy mam-gu," meddai gyda thro yn ei llais.
"It belonged to my grandmother," she says with a twist in her voice.
Er eu bod eu platiau'n llawn gyda phroblemau, rhywbeth yn llais Rhian yn ddigon i dynnu diddordeb Gareth.
Even though their plates are full with problems, something in Rhian's voice is enough to capture Gareth's interest.
Mae'n pwyso ymlaen, "Beth mor bwysig yw'r clustog i chi?
He leans forward, "How important is the cushion to you?"
"Mae cymylau teimlad yn rhwyg yn Rhian.
Clouds of emotion tear in Rhian.
"Roedd fy nhad-cu'n rhoi lanyg i fy mam-gu ar ddiwrnod eu priodas.
"My grandfather gave it to my grandmother on their wedding day.
Mae'r adnod y tu fewn y galon, fel pe bai fy nenfwd i rywbeth a allai blygu dros amser.
The inscription inside the heart, as if my ceiling were something that could bend over time."
"Mae Gareth yn dechrau gweld nad heirloom yn unig yw hon.
Gareth starts to see this is more than just an heirloom.
Mae'n ddarn o etifeddiaeth, o ɣarciau cyd-destunol eu teulu.
It is a piece of heritage, pieces of their family's contextual markers.
Y mymryn bach o fwynhad a thynerwch.
The small bit of joy and tenderness.
"Fe wna i fynd ati i wneud y gorau," mae'n addo.
"I'll do my best," he promises.
Yn sydyn, mae'r dynameg rhwng nhw'n newid.
Suddenly, the dynamic between them changes.
Mae'n deall.
He understands.
Mae Rhian yn cyffwrdd ei llaw ei hun pan fydd yn eich ffrind o flwyddyn tan diwedd, yn ysbrydoli gobaith newydd.
Rhian touches her own hand when a friend from year's end inspires new hope.
Roedd hyn yn bwysig.
This was important.
Wrth i Gareth ddechrau casglu tystiolaeth, mae Rhian yn cymathu.
As Gareth begins to gather evidence, Rhian reflects.
Mae etifeddiaeth yn fwy na gwrthrychau.
Heritage is more than objects.
Mae'n syniadau sy'n llinyn trwy fywyd.
It’s ideas that thread through life.
Yn sydyn, mae'r straeon o'i theulu'n fyw yn ei meddwl, yn cydblethu gyda phob atgof.
Suddenly, the stories from her family are alive in her mind, intertwining with every memory.
Pan mae Rhian yn gadael y penawdau nawr, mae gwybod bod rhywun gwerthfawrogol yn teimlo â hi.
When Rhian leaves the headquarters now, she knows someone appreciative is feeling with her.
Wrth iddo wylio'r dail llithro o'i choesau heb eiliad o gwmpas ymsyth, mae'n deimlo'n gartrefol yn ei hunan.
As he watches the leaves slip from their stems without a moment around a curve, she feels at home within herself.
Roedd Gareth wedi addo dod o hyd iddi, a gwybod mai gan ei lygaid gofalus byddai'r clustog yn y ddwylo gorau.
Gareth had promised to find it, knowing that with his careful eyes the cushion would be in the best hands.
Ond yn bwysicach na hynny oedd y cysylltiad newydd a oedd ganddi â'i henwriaeth.
But more important than that was the new connection she had with her ancestry.
Mae'n syniadau, cymylau hir oes sy'n cysylltu cenedlaethau.
It’s ideas, long-lived clouds connecting generations.
