V horkém letním dni bylo pražské zoo plné turistů.

On a hot summer day, the pražská zoo was full of tourists.

Mělo být poklidné odpoledne, ale pro Jirku a Petru to mělo být dobrodružství.

It was supposed to be a peaceful afternoon, but for Jirka and Petra, it was to be an adventure.

Právě začínali prohlídku u tučňáků.

They were just starting their tour at the penguin exhibit.

Jirka měl na starosti krmení těchto roztomilých ptáků dnes poprvé.

Jirka was in charge of feeding those adorable birds for the first time today.

Petra, zkušená chovatelka, ho sledovala s lehkým úsměvem na tváři.

Petra, an experienced keeper, watched him with a light smile on her face.

„Jirko, nezapomeň pořádně zavřít dveře,“ upozornila Petra s úsměvem, ale Jirka už byl u vlastního plánu.

"Jirko, don't forget to close the door properly," Petra reminded with a smile, but Jirka was already focused on his own plan.

Chtěl Petře ukázat, že zvládne i těžší úkoly.

He wanted to show Petra that he could handle even more challenging tasks.

Když se však otočil, aby si vzal kbelík s rybami, tak zapomněl zavřít vrátka.

However, when he turned to grab the bucket of fish, he forgot to close the gate.

Ani si nevšiml, jak se několik tučňáků začíná potichu kroutit ven.

He didn't even notice as a few penguins started quietly waddling out.

Najednou uslyšel Petřin hlas.

Suddenly, he heard Petra's voice.

„Jirko, tučňáci jsou pryč!

"Jirko, the penguins are gone!"

“Srdce mu pokleslo, když uviděl, jak se tučňáci vesele šourají směrem k východu z výběhu.

His heart sank as he saw the penguins happily waddling towards the exit of the enclosure.

Turisté se smáli a fotili, zatímco tučňáci mířili směrem k bufetu s občerstvením.

Tourists were laughing and taking photos as the penguins headed towards the refreshment stand.

„Pomůžeš mi?

"Will you help me?"

“ otočil se Jirka na Petru, přiznávajíc svou chybu.

Jirka turned to Petra, admitting his mistake.

„Já sám to nezvládnu.

"I can't do it alone."

“Petra se usmála.

Petra smiled.

„Samozřejmě.

"Of course.

Nepotřebujeme, aby tučňáci pořádali piknik u občerstvení.

We don't need the penguins having a picnic at the refreshment stand."

“Začali spolu honit malou skupinku tučňáků.

They began chasing the small group of penguins together.

Petra s velkou obratností vedla ptáky zpět směrem k výběhu, zatímco Jirka se snažil zavřít cestu k ostatním lákavým atrakcím.

With great skill, Petra led the birds back towards the enclosure while Jirka tried to block the way to other tempting attractions.

U bufetu se jim konečně podařilo poslední uprchlíky obklíčit.

By the refreshment stand, they finally managed to corral the last of the escapees.

„Jirko, myslím, že tu už jsme na konci,“ řekla Petra zadýchaně.

"Jirko, I think we're at the end of it here," said Petra, out of breath.

Malé dětské publikum je povzbuzovalo a smálo se jejich úsilí.

A small children's audience was cheering them on and laughing at their efforts.

Jirka měl tváře rudé od studu, ale také se usmíval.

Jirka's cheeks were red with embarrassment, but he was also smiling.

„Díky, Petro.

"Thanks, Petro.

Už budu dávat víc pozor.

I'll be more careful from now on."

“Týmový úspěch dodal Jirkovi nové odhodlání.

The team's success gave Jirka new determination.

Petra pokývla hlavou.

Petra nodded.

„Vím, že to příště zvládneš.

"I know you'll manage next time.

A nezapomeň na dveře.

And don't forget the door."

“Nakonec, jak se ptáci vrátili do svého útočiště, Jirka si uvědomil, že péče o zvířata je o týmové práci a že Petra je pro něj cennou partnerkou.

Finally, as the birds returned to their refuge, Jirka realized that caring for animals is about teamwork and that Petra is a valuable partner to him.

Stál tam u tučňáků, radostně nakrmoval ty, kteří zůstali, a cítil, že získal Petřinu úctu.

He stood there at the penguin exhibit, joyfully feeding those who remained, and felt he had earned Petra's respect.

Byl to den, kdy nejen tučňáci, ale i Jirka poznal, že týmová práce může vyřešit téměř cokoli, dokonce i letní útěk tučňáků.

It was a day when not only the penguins but Jirka too learned that teamwork can solve almost anything, even a summer penguin escape.
