Do sálu vstoupil Tomáš, Janin kolega.

Tomáš, Jana's colleague, entered the hall.

Posadil se vedle ní a podíval se na ni s povzbuzením.

He sat down next to her and gave her an encouraging look.

"Neboj se, Jano," řekl tiše.

"Don't worry, Jano," he said quietly.

"Máš pravdu na své straně."

"You have the truth on your side."

Jana se na něj usmála, ale ve svém nitru cítila nervozitu.

Diskuze začala.

Na druhé straně stolu seděla Ivana, diplomatka ze zahraničí, která měla na starosti obchod.

Jana začala hovořit.

"Chceme dohodu, která bude prospěšná pro obě naše země," řekla a klidně pokračovala, "ale musí také být trvale udržitelná a etická."

"We want an agreement that will be beneficial for both our countries," she said calmly, "but it must also be sustainable and ethical."

Ivana se na ni podívala s nevraživostí.

Ivana looked at her with hostility.

"Přemýšlejte o ziscích," odpověděla.

"Think about the profits," she replied.

"Čas jsou peníze."

"Time is money."

Napětí v místnosti by se dalo krájet.

The tension in the room was palpable.

Jana chvíli váhala, ale pak rozhodně vystoupila.

Jana hesitated for a moment but then spoke assertively.

"Mám tady důkaz, že může existovat dohoda, která je zároveň výhodná a etická," řekla a podala Ivane důkladně připravené dokumenty.

"I have proof here that an agreement can exist that is both advantageous and ethical," she said and handed Ivana meticulously prepared documents.

Ukázala tabulky a grafy, které dokazovaly, že udržitelná obchodní strategie může být výnosná.

She showed tables and graphs demonstrating that a sustainable trade strategy can be profitable.

Ivana si dokumenty prohlédla.

Ivana reviewed the documents.

Bylo vidět, že nad nimi přemýšlí.

It was clear she was considering them.

Po chvíli řekla: "Možná máte pravdu."

After a moment, she said, "Perhaps you are right."

To bylo Janino vítězství.

This was Jana's victory.

S dohodou, která byla férová pro všechny zúčastněné, se obě strany rozešly spokojeny.
