V jarním ránu se mlha vznášela nad lesnatými kopci Šumavy.

In the spring morning, a mist hovered over the wooded hills of Šumava.

Na úzké cestičce kráčeli tři přátelé.

On a narrow path, three friends walked.

Jakub, Petra a Václav se rozhodli prozkoumat tuto tajemnou krajinu.

Jakub potřeboval klid a ticho lesa, aby se vyrovnal se ztrátou.

Jakub needed the peace and quiet of the forest to cope with his loss.

Petra, jeho odvážná sestra, chtěla být blízko bratra.

Petra, his brave sister, wanted to be close to her brother.

Václav měl oči plné nadšení, jeho mysl byla plná legend o skrytých pokladech.

Václav had eyes full of excitement, his mind filled with legends of hidden treasures.

"Víte, co se říká o téhle části lesa?"

"Do you know what they say about this part of the forest?"

zeptal se Václav s jiskřičkami v očích.

asked Václav with a sparkle in his eyes.

"Je tu prý ukrytý poklad."

"There is supposedly a treasure hidden here."

Petra se zasmála.

Petra laughed.

"Poklad?

"A treasure?

Tady, uprostřed lesa?"

Here, in the middle of the forest?"

Václav přikývl.

Václav nodded.

"Staré pověsti říkají, že kdo ho najde, bude navždy bohatý."

"Old legends say that whoever finds it will be rich forever."

Během poledne se však něco změnilo.

By noon, however, something changed.

Jakub a Petra se otočili na Václava, který znenadání zmizel.

Jakub and Petra turned to Václav, who had suddenly vanished.

"Václave?!"

"Václave?!"

volala Petra do ticha lesa.

called out Petra into the silence of the forest.

Jakub se zamračil.

Jakub frowned.

Bylo to divné, Václav nikdy nepůsobil jako někdo, kdo by se ztratil.

It was strange, Václav never seemed like someone who would get lost.

Les byl však hustý a tajemný.

Yet the forest was dense and mysterious.

Mohlo by se stát cokoliv.

Anything could happen.

"Musíme ho najít," řekl Jakub odhodlaně.

"We must find him," said Jakub determinedly.

"Ztracený v lese, je teď v nebezpečí."

"Lost in the forest, he's now in danger."

Petra souhlasila, ale byla nervózní.

Petra agreed but was nervous.

Mlha byla hustší.

The mist was thicker.

Cesty se měnily před očima, jako by les měl vlastní tajemství.

Paths were changing before their eyes as if the forest had its own secrets.

Jakub se náhle zastavil.

Jakub suddenly stopped.

Vzpomněl si na slova Václava o tajné stezce.

He remembered Václav's words about a secret path.

"Musíme ji zkusit," rozhodl se.

"We must try it," he decided.

S Petrou se prodírali hustým porostem, až narazili na úzkou stezku.

With Petra, they pushed through the thick undergrowth until they stumbled upon a narrow trail.

Vedla k jeskyni pokryté mechem.

It led to a moss-covered cave.

Uvnitř byla tma, ale Petra svítila baterkou.

Inside, it was dark, but Petra shone a flashlight.

Našli však něco nečekaného.

They found something unexpected.

Václavův zápisník.

Václav's notebook.

Listy plné poznámek o pokladu.

Pages full of notes about the treasure.

Jakub pochopil.

Jakub understood.

Václav chtěl dokázat, že pověst je pravdivá.

Václav wanted to prove that the legend was true.

V hloubi jeskyně našli Václava.

Deep in the cave, they found Václav.

Seděl tam, unavený ale v pořádku.

He was sitting there, tired but safe.

"Promiňte," povzdechl si Václav, "chtěl jsem jen vědět, jestli je to pravda."

"Sorry," Václav sighed, "I just wanted to know if it was true."

Jakub se usmál a s úlevou objal svého přítele.

Jakub smiled and embraced his friend with relief.

"Hodnotnější než poklad jsou přátelství," řekl a Václav přikývl.

"More valuable than treasure are friendships," he said, and Václav nodded.

Petra dodala, "Společně jsme silnější."

Petra added, "Together we are stronger."

Všichni tři vyšli z jeskyně, světlo pomalu pronikalo skrze mlhu, která se začala rozplývat.

All three of them walked out of the cave, light slowly breaking through the mist, which began to dissipate.

Jakub poznal, že není sám.

Jakub realized he was not alone.

Nejdůležitější poklad si nesl v srdci.

The most important treasure he carried in his heart.

Bylo to poznání, že život se skládá z okamžiků, které sdílíme s blízkými.

It was the understanding that life consists of moments we share with loved ones.

A tak se vydali zpět po stezce, společně, do nového dne.

And so, they set off back along the trail, together, into a new day.
