Návštěvníci prochází mezi zimními světelnými instalacemi, jejich oči září stejně jako svíčky.

Visitors stroll through the winter light installations, their eyes shimmering just like the candles.

Viktor, tiše a zamyšleně, kráčí kolem výběhu se lvem.

Viktor, quietly and thoughtfully, walks around the lion enclosure.

Je účetní a miluje zvířata.

He is an accountant and loves animals.

Přišel sem utéct před vánočním shonem.

He came here to escape the Christmas hustle and bustle.

Chce klid a ticho.

He seeks peace and quiet.

Uvažuje, zda je možné najít mír uprostřed chaosu.

He wonders if it is possible to find peace amidst the chaos.

Viktor se však necítí sám; zvířata kolem poskytují pocit společnosti, byť tiché.

Yet, Viktor doesn't feel alone; the animals around offer a sense of companionship, albeit silent.

Mezitím Lucie stojí před pavilonem s tučňáky.

Meanwhile, Lucie stands in front of the penguin pavilion.

Je učitelka a miluje život.

She is a teacher and loves life.

Ale letos na Vánoce se cítí osamělá.

But this Christmas season, she feels lonely.

Všichni její přátelé jsou zaneprázdněni, a ona hledá něco, co by ji v této sezóně spojilo s někým jiným.

All her friends are busy, and she is searching for something that might connect her with someone else this season.

Oba se setkávají u stánku s horkou čokoládou.

They both meet at a hot chocolate stand.

Zvedají ruce najednou a dotknou se stejného hrnku.

They both reach out at the same time and touch the same cup.

Potom se na sebe podívají a smějí se.

Then they look at each other and laugh.

"Promiň," říká Viktor, trochu rozpačitě.

"Sorry," Viktor says, a bit sheepishly.

"Ty první."

"You first."

Lucie se usměje a odpoví, "Díky, moc ráda si dám horkou čokoládu.

Lucie smiles and replies, "Thanks, I'd love some hot chocolate.

Chladná zima se snese lépe s něčím teplým."

A cold winter is more bearable with something warm."

Začínají si povídat, nejprve o počasí, o svých oblíbených zvířatech, o tom, jak Zoo je magickým místem, zvláště v této sváteční sezóně.

They start talking, first about the weather, their favorite animals, and how the Zoo is a magical place, especially during this festive season.

Viktor zjišťuje, že konverzace není tak špatná, jak si myslel.

Viktor discovers that conversation isn’t as bad as he thought.

A Lucie cítí radost při sdílení svých myšlenek a příběhů o dětech ve školce.

And Lucie feels joy in sharing her thoughts and stories about the kids in her kindergarten class.

Společně procházejí osvětlenými cestami Zoo.

Together, they walk through the illuminated paths of the Zoo.

Světla visí na stromech, jako zářící hvězdy.

Lights hang from the trees like shining stars.

Oba jsou ztraceni v rozhovoru a v krásné atmosféře.

Both are lost in conversation and in the beautiful atmosphere.

Viktor a Lucie si všimnou, jak Vánoce jsou časem reflexí a blízkosti.

Viktor and Lucie notice how Christmas is a time of reflection and closeness.

Časem, kdy záleží na tom, abychom byli s lidmi, kteří nás rozumí.

Na konci večera vymění si telefonní čísla.

At the end of the evening, they exchange phone numbers.

"Měli bychom se znovu setkat a navštívit naše oblíbená zvířata," navrhuje Viktor.

"We should meet again and visit our favorite animals," suggests Viktor.

Lucie se usměje a souhlasí.

Lucie smiles and agrees.

"Ráda bych," říká.

"I’d like that," she says.

Oba odcházejí s úsměvem, naplněni nadějí a příslibem nového přátelství.

They both leave with smiles, filled with hope and the promise of a new friendship.

Viktor se učí, že někdy neplánované setkání může být přesně to, co člověk potřebuje.
