Václav, Jana a Luděk procházeli zelenou oázou výběhu orangutanů v pražské Zoo.

Václav, Jana and Luděk were walking through the green oasis of the orangutan enclosure at Prague Zoo.

Bylo léto a slunce svítilo mezi stromy.

It was summer, and the sun shone through the trees.

Náhle se však obloha zamračila a začala prudká bouřka.

Suddenly, however, the sky darkened and a fierce storm began.

Déšť padal tak silně, že návštěvníci hledali úkryt pod velkými listy a přístřešky výběhu.

The rain fell so heavily that visitors sought shelter under the large leaves and enclosures.

Jana se třásla strachy.

Jana was trembling with fear.

Bouřky vždycky nesnášela.

She always hated storms.

"Václave, co budeme dělat?

"Václave, what are we going to do?"

" zeptala se s naléhavým pohledem.

she asked with an urgent look.

Lidé okolo začali panikařit, hádali se, kam se ukrýt.

People around started to panic, arguing about where to hide.

Václav, ačkoliv se sám obával, věděl, že musí něco podniknout.

Václav, although frightened himself, knew he had to do something.

„Musíme zůstat klidní,“ řekl Václav pevným hlasem.

"We must stay calm," said Václav in a firm voice.

„Zůstane bezpečnější, když zůstaneme pohromadě ve výběhu.

"It will be safer if we stay together in the enclosure.

Počkáme, až bouřka přejde.

We'll wait for the storm to pass."

“ Jana si vzdychla, ale poslouchala.

Jana sighed, but she listened.

Luděk, starý dobrovolník, vzpomínal na podobnou bouřku z minulosti.

Luděk, an old volunteer, recalled a similar storm from the past.

Jeho hlas byl těžký.

His voice was heavy.

„Pamatuji si bouřku před mnoha lety.

"I remember a storm many years ago.

Strom se zřítil a bylo to strašné,“ řekl a třásly se mu ruce.

A tree fell and it was terrible," he said, his hands trembling.

Václav rychle myslel, jak odvést Luděkovo napětí.

Václav quickly thought of how to divert Luděk's tension.

"Luděku, můžete nám říct víc o orangutanech?

"Luděku, can you tell us more about the orangutans?

Vím, že jste je vždy miloval," navrhl.

I know you've always loved them," he suggested.

Luděk se trochu usmál.

Luděk smiled a little.

Začal vyprávět o jejich životě v divočině, o tom, jak jsou důležité pro ekosystém.

He began to talk about their life in the wild and how they are important to the ecosystem.

Prudký vítr však náhle ohrozil výběh.

The fierce wind, however, suddenly threatened the enclosure.

Velká větev se nebezpečně nakláněla.

A large branch dangerously tilted.

Václav věděl, že musí jednat.

Václav knew he had to act.

"Všichni, musíme tu větev zabezpečit, než spadne," řekl Václav s nově nalezenou odvahou.

"Everyone, we need to secure that branch before it falls," Václav said with newfound courage.

Návštěvníci společnými silami pomohli Václavovi upevnit konstrukci výběhu.

The visitors helped Václav secure the structure of the enclosure together.

Byla to chvíle jednoty.

It was a moment of unity.

Jana zapomněla na svůj strach a pomáhala nosit silné větve a lana.

Jana forgot her fear and helped carry strong branches and ropes.

Luděk po straně sledoval, jak se Václav ujímá vedení.

Luděk watched from the side as Václav took the lead.

"Máš v sobě něco zvláštního, chlapče," řekl pak tiše.

"There's something special in you, boy," he said quietly.

Bouřka nakonec zeslábla a slunce opět prosvítalo mezi listy.

The storm eventually subsided and the sun once again shone through the leaves.

Zaměstnanci zoo rychle dorazili, aby pomohli.

Zoo staff quickly arrived to help.

Lidé oddechli, když se situace zklidnila.

People sighed with relief as the situation calmed down.

Orangutani bezpečně seděli na svých větvích, v poklidu krmili, jako by se nic nestalo.

The orangutans sat safely on their branches, calmly feeding as if nothing had happened.

Když se dav rozcházel, Václav si uvědomil, že získal novou sílu a respekt svých přátel.

As the crowd dispersed, Václav realized he had gained new strength and the respect of his friends.

Jana mu vděčně stiskla ruku a Luděk, utěšený setkáním se starými vzpomínkami, stál po jeho boku.

Jana gratefully squeezed his hand and Luděk, comforted by the encounter with old memories, stood by his side.

Pražská Zoo už nikdy nebude jen místo pro zábavu.

Prague Zoo would never again be just a place for fun.

Bude to místo, kde se naučil, jak být zodpovědnou oporou, pro lidi i pro zvířata.

It would be a place where he learned how to be a responsible support, for people and animals alike.

Tento zážitek všechny spojil, a Václav věděl, že láska ke zvířatům může překonat strach i minulost.

This experience had brought everyone together, and Václav knew that a love for animals could overcome fear and the past.
