Mezi nimi je Petr, mladý fotograf, který touží zachytit dokonalou fotografii Prahy.

Among them is Petr, a young photographer eager to capture the perfect photograph of Praha.

Má s sebou Katerinu, svou praktickou přítelkyni, která vždy hlídá jejich rozpočet.

He is with Katerina, his practical girlfriend who always keeps an eye on their budget.

„Pojďme se podívat na suvenýry,“ navrhne Petr, jehož oči září nadšením.

“Let’s go look at the souvenirs,” suggests Petr, his eyes shining with excitement.

Katerina přikývne, i když dává pozor, aby příliš neutratili.

Katerina nods, although she’s careful not to overspend.

Prochází mezi stánky, kolem nichž se line vůně trdelníku a slyší se smích turistů.

They walk among the stalls, where the scent of trdelník wafts by and the laughter of tourists can be heard.

„Ahoj!“ zavolá Marek, prodavač se suvenýry.

“Hello!” calls out Marek, the souvenir vendor.

Svěží květnová sezóna přináší živou náladu do všech koutů náměstí.

The fresh May season brings a lively mood to all corners of the square.

Marek má stánek plný zajímavých drobností.

Marek has a stall full of interesting trinkets.

„Mám přesně to, co hledáš,“ řekne směrem k Petrovi.

“I have just what you're looking for,” he says in Petr's direction.

Petr se zastaví u stánku a prohlíží si zboží.

Petr stops at the stall and examines the goods.

Marek mu ukáže malou dřevěnou sošku Karlova mostu.

Marek shows him a small wooden statue of Karlův most.

Petr si ji zamiluje na první pohled.

Petr falls in love with it at first sight.

Ale je dražší, než co si Petr s Katerinou mohou dovolit.

However, it is more expensive than what Petr and Katerina can afford.

„Co myslíš, Katerino?“ ptá se Petr, ale doufá, že Katerina řekne ano.

“What do you think, Katerina?” Petr asks, hoping she'll say yes.

Katerina si povzdechne, ale pak pokrčí rameny.

Katerina sighs, but then shrugs.

„Je to krásné.

“It’s beautiful.

Pokud ho opravdu chceš, tak ho vezmi.“ Petr se rozhodne koupit sošku, i když to znamená mírné překročení rozpočtu.

If you really want it, then take it.” Petr decides to buy the statue, even though it means slightly exceeding their budget.

Marek se usměje, protože ví, že jeho talent pro přesvědčování opět zvítězil.

Marek smiles, knowing his persuasive skills have once again prevailed.

S dřevěnou soškou v tašce se Petr zaměří na svůj druhý cíl – perfektní fotografii.

With the wooden statue in the bag, Petr focuses on his second goal – the perfect photograph.

Přestože Katerina několikrát upozorní na čas, Petr vytrvale hledá správný úhel.

Although Katerina reminds him about the time several times, Petr persistently searches for the right angle.

Nakonec se ztrácí ve své práci, zcela pohlcen atmosférou náměstí.

He eventually loses himself in his work, completely absorbed by the atmosphere of the square.

Najednou si Katerina uvědomí, že zmeškali čas srazu se skupinou.

Suddenly, Katerina realizes they’ve missed the meetup time with their group.

„Musíme jít!“ varuje naléhavě.

“We have to go!” she urgently warns.

Petr se konečně probudí ze svého snu a obává se, že svou snahu přepískl.

Petr finally snaps out of his dream and worries that he may have overdone it.

Společně běží náměstím, hledají skupinu.

They run across the square together, looking for the group.

Nakonec je najdou, jak klidně prochází poblíž náměstí.

Finally, they find them, casually strolling near the square.

Katerina si povzdechne úlevou a Petr se zamyslí nad tím, jak blízko byli k problémům.

Katerina sighs with relief, and Petr reflects on how close they came to trouble.

„Promiň,“ říká Petr, když znovu chytí dech.

“Sorry,” says Petr as he catches his breath again.

„Ale podívej na tohle.“ Ukáže Katerině překrásný snímek, který právě pořídil.

“But look at this.” He shows Katerina the beautiful snapshot he just took.

Na fotografii je zachycen okamžik, kdy paprsky slunce osvětlují věže Týnského chrámu a vytvářejí nádhernou hru světla a stínu.

Katerina se usměje.

Katerina smiles.

„Je to nádhera,“ přizná.

„Stálo to za to čekání.“ Petr se usměje také, uvědomuje si, že někdy musí být trochu flexibilní.

“It was worth the wait.” Petr smiles too, realizing that sometimes you need to be a bit flexible.

Spolu se připojí ke skupině, poučeni zkušenostmi, ale hlavně plni vzájemného porozumění.

Together, they rejoin the group, wiser from the experience, but most importantly, full of mutual understanding.
