Al final del túnel, van trobar un altre obstacle: un gran portell metàl·lic tancat amb un pany robust.

En Pere, sense perdre el cap, va observar el mecanisme: "Ens caldrà desmuntar-lo.

Aquell espectacle de focs artificials, amb el so de la ciutat celebrant, va fer que tots tres s'abracessin, rient de la seva aventurera desafortunada.

La Montse va aprendre aquell vespre que, a vegades, una bona idea requereix paciència i es planifica millor en equip.

Amb records nous i una amistat encara més forta, van decidir que, la pròxima vegada, gaudirien de la festa des de terra ferma.
