El guia turístic estava a punt d'explicar-los un altre fragment de la història antiga, però Oriol ja tenia altres plans.

The tour guide was about to tell them another piece of ancient history, but Oriol already had other plans.

Alguna cosa dins seu li deia que aquell aqüeducte podia ser més que només una resta històrica; potser era la clau per viatjar en el temps.

Something inside him told him that this aqueduct could be more than just a historical relic; perhaps it was the key to time travel.

"Això va més enllà de simples ruïnes", va dir Oriol somrient, amb aquell aire somiador que li era tan característic.

"This goes beyond mere ruins," said Oriol, smiling with that dreamy air that was so characteristic of him.

"És clar, Oriol", va replicar Laia amb un mig somriure, sabent com li encantava imaginar històries fantàstiques.

"Of course, Oriol," replied Laia with a half-smile, knowing how much he loved to imagine fantastic stories.

"Encara creus que sovint els teus somnis es converteixen en realitat?"

"Do you still think your dreams often come true?"

Marcel va riure, sempre disposat a riure's d'aquestes idees.

Marcel laughed, always ready to make fun of these ideas.

"Com ho faràs, Oriol? Correràs pels arcs esperant alguna màgia?"

"How will you do it, Oriol? Will you run through the arches hoping for some magic?"

Oriol va mirar als altres dos amb una brillantor decidida als ulls.

Oriol looked at the other two with a determined sparkle in his eyes.

"Exactament això. He llegit que a vegades només cal creure una mica!", va respondre ell, fent un pas cap als grans arcs del aqüeducte.

"Exactly that. I've read that sometimes you just need to believe a little!" he replied, stepping toward the large arches of the aqueduct.

Laia i Marcel es van mirar, més divertits que alarmats.

Laia and Marcel glanced at each other, more amused than alarmed.

A poc a poc, s'apropaven a l’aqüeducte, entre els murmuris d'altres turistes que ja observaven la peculiar escena.

Slowly, they approached the aqueduct amid the murmurs of other tourists already watching the peculiar scene.

Amb un gest dramàtic, Oriol va començar a córrer cap a l'arc central de l’aqüeducte.

With a dramatic gesture, Oriol began running toward the central arch of the aqueduct.

Els batecs alegres dels altres turistes es van aturar, i les càmeres s'alçaren per immortalitzar aquell moment tan insòlit.

The cheerful chatter of the other tourists stopped, and cameras rose to capture that unusual moment.

Quan finalment Oriol va travessar l'arc, va acabar exactament a l'altre costat, els seus amics queien de riure.

When Oriol finally crossed through the arch, he ended up exactly on the other side, his friends bursting out laughing.

"No has tornat al temps dels romans, però has fet història avui!", va exclamar Marcel, secant-se les llàgrimes de riure.

"You haven't gone back to Roman times, but you've made history today!" exclaimed Marcel, wiping away tears of laughter.

Laia va afegir: "Potser no hem viatjat al passat, però sí que has aconseguit animar aquest matí."

Laia added: "Maybe we haven't traveled to the past, but you sure have brightened up this morning."

El guia turístic, que també havia rigut, es va apropar al grup.

The tour guide, who had also laughed, approached the group.

"Sabeu, podria incloure aquesta història a les meves pròximes visites! Potser algun dia, algú ho provarà de nou."

"You know, I could include this story in my future tours! Perhaps someday, someone else will try it again."

Oriol, amb un somriure gran, va admetre que la seva teoria potser havia fallat, però va afegir amb decisió: "Suposo que hora d’aprendre més sobre arqueologia. Mai se sap on et portaran els somnis."

Oriol, with a wide smile, admitted that his theory might have failed, but added decisively: "I suppose it's time to learn more about archaeology. You never know where dreams might lead you."

I així, mentre sortien del camí de l’aqüeducte, Oriol havia après que, tot i que no sempre els seus somnis es complien, cada pas, fins i tot un fallit, podia portar a una gran aventura.

And so, as they walked away from the aqueduct path, Oriol learned that although his dreams didn't always come true, each step, even a failed one, could lead to a great adventure.
