Enmig d'aquest esplendor modernista, Júlia travessava el vestíbul amb pas decidit, buscant l'habitació de la seva amiga Laia.

En obrir la porta, va veure Laia estirada al llit, envoltada de coixins blancs.

Upon opening the door, she saw Laia lying in bed, surrounded by white pillows.

La seva expressió estava plena de preocupació.

A prop de la finestra, Martí, el germà de Laia, mirava per enèssima vegada el paisatge exterior, intentant amagar la seva pròpia ansietat.

Near the window, Martí, Laia's brother, was looking out at the landscape for the umpteenth time, trying to hide his own anxiety.

"Hola, Laia!" va dir Júlia amb entusiasme, tancant la porta darrere seu.

"Hello, Laia!" Júlia said enthusiastically, closing the door behind her.

"Com et sents avui?"

"How are you feeling today?"

Laia va fer una ganyota lleu.

Laia made a slight grimace.

"Estic una mica millor, crec... però encara estic preocupada per tot això."

"I feel a little better, I think... but I'm still worried about all of this."

Júlia es va asseure a la cadira al costat del llit.

Júlia sat down in the chair next to the bed.

Va posar la mà sobre la de la seva amiga.

She placed her hand over her friend's.

"És normal sentir-se així, però estem aquí per tu."

"It's normal to feel that way, but we're here for you."

Martí va girar-se per unir-se a la conversa.

Martí turned to join the conversation.

"Sí, i recorda que sempre has estat valenta."

"Yes, and remember that you've always been brave."

Laia va sospirar, dubitativa.

Laia sighed, doubtful.

"Però tot em sembla tan incert ara..."

"But everything seems so uncertain now..."

Júlia va somriure amb dolçor.

Júlia smiled sweetly.

"Escolta, recordes quan vam anar a aquell festival de música al parc de la Ciutadella l'any passat?

"Listen, do you remember when we went to that music festival in the parc de la Ciutadella last year?

Ho vam passar tan bé!

Martí va assentir emocionat.

Martí nodded excitedly.

"I sopar a la terrassa de l'àtic mentre mirem la posta de sol!"

Laia va deixar escapar un petit somriure, un primer gest d'acceptació.

"D'acord, crec que m'agradaria provar-ho."
