A la perifèria del poble, un vell magatzem abandonat s’alçava com una silueta misteriosa contra el cel estiuenc.

On the outskirts of the village, an old abandoned warehouse stood like a mysterious silhouette against the summer sky.

Feia temps que es deia que allà hi havia fantasmes, però la Núria no s'ho creia.

It had long been said that there were ghosts there, but Núria didn't believe it.

"És tot un invent," va dir ella, decidida a demostrar la veritat als seus amics.

"It's all made up," she said, determined to prove the truth to her friends.

Aquella nit, la Núria, el Jordi i l'Anna varen decidir explorar el magatzem.

That night, Núria, Jordi, and Anna decided to explore the warehouse.

"A veure si els teus fantasmes són de veritat," va burlar-se la Núria, mirant l'Anna amb un somriure.

"Let's see if your ghosts are real," Núria teased, looking at Anna with a smile.

L'Anna es va remoure incòmodament, mentre en Jordi, amb la llanterna en mà, els feia senyals per seguir endavant.

Anna shifted uncomfortably, while Jordi, flashlight in hand, signaled for them to move on.

El magatzem estava ple de pols i ombres.

The warehouse was full of dust and shadows.

Portes rovellades grinyolaven amb el vent, i petits trossos de paper voletejaven sobre el terra.

Rusty doors creaked with the wind, and small pieces of paper fluttered across the floor.

Cada cantonada fosca semblava amagar un secret, cada xiuxiueig del vent els posava la pell de gallina.

Every dark corner seemed to hide a secret, every whisper of the wind gave them goosebumps.

"Ho sentiu això?" va exclamar l'Anna.

"Did you hear that?" Anna exclaimed.

La Núria va alçar les espatlles. "Només és vent", va dir, però el seu cor bategava ràpidament.

Núria shrugged. "It's just the wind," she said, but her heart was racing.

L'Anna estava tan convençuda que fins i tot a la Núria li va quedar un mal regust de dubte.

Anna was so convinced that even Núria was left with a bitter taste of doubt.

Mentre exploraven més endins, un soroll fort va fer eco per tot el magatzem.

As they ventured further in, a loud noise echoed throughout the warehouse.

"Què ha estat això?" va preguntar en Jordi, mirant al seu voltant amb els ulls oberts com plats.

"What was that?" Jordi asked, looking around with wide eyes.

La Núria va mirar en direcció al soroll.

Núria looked in the direction of the noise.

"Anem a veure-ho. No hi ha res a témer," va insistir.

"Let's go check it out. There's nothing to fear," she insisted.

El seu pas, encara que determinat, amagava una mica de vacil·lació.

Their step, although determined, hid a bit of hesitation.

Quan s’acostaren al lloc d’on provingué el soroll, altres fenòmens estranys començaren a ocórrer: caixes que queien totes soles, una brisa inexplicable que els erissava els cabells, i el seu nom xiuxiuejat des de les ombres.

As they approached the source of the noise, other strange phenomena began to occur: boxes falling on their own, an inexplicable breeze that made their hair stand on end, and their names whispered from the shadows.

"Ho he sentit, ho he sentit!" va cridar l'Anna, reculant amb els ulls plens de por.

"I heard it, I heard it!" Anna shouted, retreating with eyes full of fear.

"Hi ha alguna cosa aquí!"

"There's something here!"

La Núria, encara no convençuda, va continuar avançant, determinada a trobar una explicació.

Núria, still unconvinced, kept moving forward, determined to find an explanation.

Quan assoliren la part més obscura de l’edifici, la tensió era palpable.

When they reached the darkest part of the building, the tension was palpable.

Però aleshores, alguna cosa inesperada va aparèixer.

But then, something unexpected appeared.

Darrere d'un munt de caixes, varen trobar restes de materials, fustes i pintures usades per adolescents del poble per organitzar bromes.

Behind a pile of boxes, they found remnants of materials, wood, and paints used by the village teenagers to organize pranks.

"Ho sabia! Només eren bromes... però com expliques aquesta brisa i la veu?" va dir la Núria després, amb el cor encara una mica accelerat.

"I knew it! Just pranks... but how do you explain this breeze and the voice?" Núria said afterward, her heart still racing a little.

Però abans que pogués acabar, una brisa gelada va acariciar la seva cara, i un xiuxiueig suau va pronunciar el seu nom una vegada més.

But before she could finish, an icy breeze caressed her face, and a soft whisper pronounced her name once more.

Aquesta vegada, la Núria va sentir una esgarrifança que la va fer dubtar.

This time, Núria felt a shiver that made her doubt.

Amb la primera llum del dia, varen sortir del magatzem.

With the first light of day, they left the warehouse.

"Potser no tot pot explicar-se," va dir en Jordi, amb una expressió pensativa.

"Maybe not everything can be explained," Jordi said, with a thoughtful expression.

La Núria va assentir, amb un somriure lleuger.

Núria nodded, with a slight smile.

"Potser...", va admetre ella, amb un respecte renovat pel que no podia veure ni entendre.

"Maybe...", she admitted, with a newfound respect for what she couldn't see or understand.

Amb el sol començant a escalfar el camí de tornada, es van allunyar del misteri.

As the sun began to warm the path back, they walked away from the mystery.

Però la Núria sabia que, encara que havia descobert la veritat darrere de les bromes, un petit sospir de dubte sempre l'acompanyaria.

But Núria knew that, even though she had discovered the truth behind the pranks, a small sigh of doubt would always accompany her.

Potser hi havia més, després de tot.

Perhaps there was more, after all.

I això li portava una nova manera de veure el món, un equilibri entre el que coneixia i el que podia ser.

And this brought her a new way of seeing the world, a balance between what she knew and what could be.
