Oriol was sitting under the cool shade of an ancient olive tree at the Jardí Botànic de Barcelona.

The day of Sant Jordi was full of roses, books, and promises of new stories.

But Oriol had his own adventure in mind.

  • Mentre observava les arrels gruixudes i enredades de l'olivera, un petit objecte brillà entre la terra i les fulles seques.

As he observed the thick, tangled roots of the olive tree, a small object shone among the soil and dry leaves.

Curious, he crouched down and carefully moved the soil.

There, he found an old key, rusted with age.

His heart raced; he rarely found anything so intriguing.

Despite having doubts about the ancient legends that circulated around the garden, Oriol never stopped searching for the legendary seed that was supposed to grant wisdom.

"Do you think it's a sign?" he said aloud, knowing that Júlia, his lifelong friend, would probably tell him not to be silly.

Júlia arrived shortly after, smiling while carrying a book under her arm and a rose in her hand.

"Oriol, are you really thinking about legends again?" she laughed.

  • "És només una clau vella, res més."

"It's just an old key, nothing more."

But Oriol couldn't help but wonder, what did the key open?

At that moment, Martí appeared, a man who often wandered around the garden with a look of someone who knows more than he says.

"I have an old map that could help," said Martí with a smile.

  • Oriol va vacil·lar.

    Oriol hesitated.

He knew little about Martí, but the possibility of a resolution captivated him.

With the map in hand, Oriol and Martí moved through the exotic plants and spring flowers.

Júlia preferred not to follow them, thinking it was a waste of time, but their enthusiasm was contagious.

"The key might be for the secret room," suggested Martí as they reached a remote part of the garden.

  • I realment, amagada darrere d’unes bardisses espinoses, van trobar una porta de ferro oxidat.

And indeed, hidden behind some thorny bushes, they found a rusty iron door.

With trembling hands, Oriol inserted the key and turned it.

The door creaked, revealing a room full of books and ancient botanical drawings.

In the center, a wooden chest with an intriguing inscription: "Do not seek the seed, seek the knowledge it gifts us."

Oriol realized that the seed of wisdom was a metaphor.

The real wisdom was the journey he had taken, sharing it with Júlia and, surprisingly, Martí.

As they left, he took Júlia's hand.

  • "Tenies raó", va admetre Oriol.

    "You were right," admitted Oriol.

"Maybe the legends aren't real, but what we discovered together is better."

Now, Oriol would value the journey more than the destination, and with Júlia and Martí by his side, he no longer sought magical seeds, but knowledge and friendship.

And so, with smiles between them, they returned to the olive tree, while the city celebrated another day of Sant Jordi.
