Era la nit de Cap d'Any i la Núria estava decidida a començar un nou capítol.

It was New Year's Eve and Núria was determined to begin a new chapter.

Al seu costat, Jordi s'embolcallava amb la seva bufanda preferida.

Beside her, Jordi wrapped himself in his favorite scarf.

Els dos amics estaven asseguts en cadires de plàstic, un cafè fumejant a les mans, i parlaven sobre els propòsits de l'any nou.

The two friends were seated on plastic chairs, steaming coffee in their hands, talking about their New Year's resolutions.

"Vull canviar molt aquest any," va dir la Núria, amb la veu plena d'energia.

"I want to change a lot this year," said Núria, her voice filled with energy.

"Vull començar a menjar més saludable, fer exercici cada dia i aprendre francès!

"I want to start eating healthier, exercising every day, and learning French!"

"Jordi va aixecar una cella escèptica però somrient.

Jordi raised a skeptical but smiling eyebrow.

"Sembla força ambiciós, Núria.

"That sounds quite ambitious, Núria.

T'has d'assegurar que és sostenible.

You need to make sure it's sustainable."

"La Núria es va quedar pensativa, mirant el cel estrellat.

Núria remained thoughtful, looking at the starry sky.

"Però vull fer molts canvis.

"But I want to make many changes.

Estic decidida!

I'm determined!"

"Jordi li va posar la mà a l'espatlla càlidament.

Jordi placed a warm hand on her shoulder.

"Sé que pots aconseguir-ho.

"I know you can achieve it.

Però és millor començar amb coses petites i després augmentar.

"La Núria va sospirar i va fer una pausa.

"Les campanades de mitjanit de la Sagrada Família es van escoltar a l'horitzó.

The chimes of midnight from Sagrada Família resonated on the horizon.

La Núria va aixecar la tassa de cafè per brindar.

Núria raised her coffee cup to toast.
