كان الجو حارًا في كازابلانكا.

The weather in Casablanca was hot.

الشمس كانت تصب نورها بحرارة فوق الأسطح والشوارع.

The sun was pouring its light intensely over the roofs and streets.

في مدينة الحياة والضجيج، وسط حي مليء بالحيوية، كانت هناك ملجأ صغير للأطفال.

In the city of life and noise, amidst a lively neighborhood, there was a small children's shelter.

جدرانه مزيّنة برسومات زاهية الألوان.

Its walls were decorated with brightly colored drawings.

كانت عيون الأطفال تتلألأ بالأمل والفرح.

The children's eyes sparkled with hope and joy.

كنت أنا زيد، مع لَيلى، جالسين في الحافلة، نتوجه إلى الملجأ.

I was Zaid, sitting on the bus with Leila, heading to the shelter.

لَيلى كانت متحمسة.

Leila was excited.

تتحدث عن خططها الكبيرة للمتطوعين والأطفال.

She talked about her big plans for the volunteers and the children.

كانت تلمع عيونها كلما تحدثت عن الأنشطة التي ستنظمها.

Her eyes sparkled whenever she talked about the activities she would organize.

لكنني كنت أعرف سرًا عنها.

But I knew a secret about her.

كانت تخاف الالتزام.

She was afraid of commitment.

وصلنا الملجأ.

We arrived at the shelter.

كان المكان يعج بالضحك والمحادثات.

The place was filled with laughter and conversations.

الأطفال هرعوا إلينا، واستقبلونا بابتسامات كبيرة.

The children rushed to us and greeted us with big smiles.

لَيلى بدأت في تقديم نفسها وتنظيم الأنشطة.

Leila began introducing herself and organizing activities.

بينما أنا، كنت أراقب بحذر وأتأمل كيف سنتعاون.

Meanwhile, I was watching cautiously, pondering how we would collaborate.

شعرت لَيلى ببعض الشكوك.

Leila felt some doubts.

قالت لي: "ماذا لو لم أكن قادرة؟"

She said to me, "What if I'm not capable?"

كنت أجيبها بابتسامة مطمئنة: "أنت قادرة. فقط واصلي."

I replied with a reassuring smile, "You are capable. Just keep going."

في يوم الحدث الكبير، كانت الأنشطة كثيرة.

On the day of the big event, there were many activities.

تساءلت لَيلى نفسها: "هل أستطيع؟"

Leila wondered to herself, "Can I do it?"

ولكن مع مساعدة المتطوعين، خططت وجدولت كل شيء بعناية.

But with the help of the volunteers, she planned and scheduled everything carefully.

كانت تنظم الألعاب، الرسم، والمسابقات.

She organized games, drawing, and contests.

كل شيء كان يسير بسلاسة.

Everything was going smoothly.

في نهاية اليوم، وقف الأطفال حول لَيلى، يهتفون بفرح.

At the end of the day, the children gathered around Leila, cheering with joy.

كانت عيونهم تروي فرحتهم وحبهم لما قامت به.

Their eyes narrated their happiness and love for what she had done.

شعرت لَيلى بأنها حققت الكثير.

Leila felt she had achieved a lot.

شعرت بالرضا والثقة.

She felt satisfied and confident.

أصبحت لَيلى تدرك أنها قادرة على الالتزام والعمل الجاد.

Leila began to realize that she was capable of commitment and hard work.

تجاوزت خوفها وأثبتت لنفسها أنها تستطيع صنع فرق في حياة الآخرين.

She overcame her fear and proved to herself that she could make a difference in the lives of others.

كانت تلك بداية رحلة جديدة بالنسبة لها، رحلة النضج والثقة.

This was the beginning of a new journey for her, a journey of maturity and confidence.

بينما كنا نغادر الملجأ، قلت لها: "لقد فعلتِها، لَيلى. الأطفال سعداء بسببك."

As we were leaving the shelter, I said to her, "You did it, Leila. The children are happy because of you."

ابتسمت لي وقالت: "بفضلك أيضًا، زيد. شكراً لأنك دفعتني للأمام."

She smiled at me and said, "Thanks to you too, Zaid. Thank you for pushing me forward."

ورأيت في عينيها ثقة جديدة، ثقة جعلتها ترى عالمًا من الإمكانيات.

And I saw in her eyes a new confidence, a confidence that made her see a world of possibilities.
