في يوم مشمس وجميل من أيام الربيع في الإسكندرية، اجتمع أفراد عائلة لتحتفل بعيد الفطر في حديقة جميلة، تطل على البحر المتوسط.

On a sunny and beautiful spring day in Alexandria, a family gathered to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in a lovely garden overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

انطلقت رائحة اللحم المشوي والتوابل في الهواء، مختلطة بضحكات الأطفال ولهوهم في الزوايا.

The scent of grilled meat and spices wafted through the air, mixed with the laughter and play of children in the corners.

بينما كان الجميع منشغلين بالتحضير، كان أمين يراقب الجميع بابتسامة ماكرة، حاملًا طبق من الحمص الفاخر.

While everyone was busy with preparations, Amin was watching everyone with a sly smile, holding a plate of exquisite hummus.

اقترب من زينب، وقال بمزاح، "大胆ن أن هذا الحمص أفضل مما تصنعينه يا زينب!"

He approached Zaynab and jokingly said, "I bet this hummus is better than what you make, Zaynab!"

ضحكت زينب في البداية، لكنها لم تستطع تجاهل التحدي، "أمين، حمصك جيد، لكن ليس كحمصي!"

Zaynab laughed at first but couldn't ignore the challenge, "Your hummus is good, Amin, but it's not like mine!"

ثمّ نظرت إلى نورة وأضافت، "ماذا تعتقدين يا نورة؟"

Then she looked at Noura and added, "What do you think, Noura?"

نورة، التي كانت تُحب السلام، أرادت أن تجعل الجميع سعداء وتتفادى أي خلاف، قالت، "لماذا لا نجرب تجربة تذوق عمياء؟ لنعرف من لديه أفضل حمص!"

Noura, who loved peace, wanted to make everyone happy and avoid any dispute, said, "Why don't we have a blind taste test? Let's find out who has the best hummus!"

جمعت الأسرة حول طاولة صغيرة تحت الشجرة الكبيرة، وضعت فيها ثلاثة أطباق من الحمص.

The family gathered around a small table under the big tree, where three plates of hummus were placed.

كل واحد جاء بملعقته الخاصة، وبدأوا في التذوق بحماس.

Each person brought their own spoon and began tasting enthusiastically.

عندما وصلوا إلى طبق زينب، لاحظ الجميع طعمًا غير مألوف، وانفجر الجميع في الضحك.

When they got to Zaynab's plate, everyone noticed an unfamiliar taste, and they all burst into laughter.

قال أمين وهو يمسح دموع الضحك، "ما هذا المذاق؟"

Amin said while wiping tears of laughter, "What's that taste?"

أجابت زينب بتفاجؤ، “أوه، نسيت إخراج الفلفل الحلبي!”

Zaynab replied in surprise, "Oh, I forgot to remove the Aleppo pepper!"

لكن ضحكاتهم ملأت المكان، ولم يزعج أحد منهم الخطأ الصغير.

But their laughter filled the place, and no one was bothered by the small mistake.

جلس الجميع بعد ذلك حول الطاولة، يتبادلون المزاح والذكريات، وقد أدركت نورة أن الاضطراب الصغير جعل القلوب تتقارب.

Everyone then sat around the table, exchanging jokes and memories, and Noura realized that the little mishap brought the hearts closer.
