تحت أضواء الربيع الدافئة وبعد يوم طويل من الصيام، اجتمعت العائلة في المنزل الكبير للاحتفال بالإفطار.

Under the warm lights of spring and after a long day of fasting, the family gathered in the big house to celebrate Iftar.

كان الجميع متحمساً لرؤية الشابة سميرة التي كانت قد قضت ساعات في المطبخ لتحضير كعكة خاصة لهذه المناسبة.

Everyone was excited to see the young Samira, who had spent hours in the kitchen preparing a special cake for the occasion.

كانت سميرة أصغر أفراد العائلة لكنها كانت مصممة على إبهار الجميع بمهاراتها في الطهي.

Samira was the youngest member of the family, but she was determined to impress everyone with her cooking skills.

فوق طاولة الطعام، كانت هناك أطباق شهية تفوح منها الروائح اللذيذة.

On the dining table, there were delicious dishes exuding mouth-watering aromas.

جلس الجميع حول الطاولة الكبيرة في غرفة الطعام الواسعة، التي كانت مزيّنة بنقوش الورود والزخارف الربيعية الملونة.

Everyone sat around the large table in the spacious dining room, which was decorated with floral patterns and colorful spring ornaments.

صوت الأحاديث وضحكات الأهل ملأ المكان.

The sound of conversations and family laughter filled the air.

بينما كانت سميرة تقطع الفاكهة لتزيين الكعكة، دخل زيد، الأخ الأكبر المعروف بروح الدعابة، إلى المطبخ وألقى نظرة سريعة على الفوضى التي أحدثتها أخته في محاولتها لإعداد الكعكة المثالية.

While Samira was cutting fruits to decorate the cake, Zayd, the older brother known for his sense of humor, entered the kitchen and took a quick look at the mess his sister had made in her attempt to prepare the perfect cake.

"هل تحتاجين أي مساعدة؟" سأل زيد بابتسامة مشاكسة، "أنا هنا إذا ارتكبتِ أي خطأ."

"Do you need any help?" asked Zayd with a mischievous smile, "I'm here if you make any mistakes."

سميرة ضحكت وقالت: "لا تقلق، هذا سيكون أفضل كعك ستتذوقه في حياتك."

Samira laughed and said, "Don't worry, this will be the best cake you'll ever taste."

لكن ما لم تعرفه سميرة هو أن حماستها عجّلت بأغلاط.

But what Samira did not know was that her excitement led to mistakes.

بدلاً من استخدام القرفة، وضعت مسحوق الحكة الذي كان موجوداً في علبة مشابهة في الكعكة.

Instead of using cinnamon, she put itching powder, which was in a similar package, into the cake.

عندما انتهت الكعكة، كانت جميلة ومزيّنة بالفواكه الطازجة.

When the cake was finished, it was beautiful and decorated with fresh fruits.

حين اقترب موعد التقديم، شعرت ليلى، ابنة العم العاقلة، برائحة غير معتادة.

As the time for serving approached, Layla, the sensible cousin, noticed an unusual smell.

فاقتربت من سميرة وهمست لها: "هل تأكدتِ من كل المكونات، سميرة؟ تبدو رائحة غريبة."

She went up to Samira and whispered, "Did you check all the ingredients, Samira? It smells strange."

تجمّدت سميرة للحظة، ثم تذكرت واكتشفت الخطأ.

Samira froze for a moment, then remembered and realized the mistake.

بعيون مليئة بالقلق، نظرت إلى زيد وليلى وأخبرتهما بما حدث.

With eyes full of concern, she looked at Zayd and Layla and told them what had happened.

كانت خائفة من رد فعل العائلة.

She was afraid of the family's reaction.

لكن زيد ضحك والمسحكات لا تفارق شفتاه.

But Zayd laughed with a grin that never left his face.

"لا تقلقي، توقعت أنك قد تخطئين، لذا طلبت حلوى إضافية."

"Don't worry, I expected you might make a mistake, so I ordered extra desserts."

ضحكت العائلة جميعاً عند سماع القصة، وانتقلت الضحكات والابتسامات بين أفراد العائلة.

The whole family laughed upon hearing the story, and laughter and smiles spread among the family members.

الجميع استمتع بالحلويات، وتعلمت سميرة درساً مهماً.

Everyone enjoyed the desserts, and Samira learned an important lesson.

في نهاية الليلة، كانت العائلة أكثر قرباً من بعضها، متمتعة باللحظات العائلية والذكريات المشتركة، واكتشفت سميرة أهمية الصدق والاستعداد الجيّد في الأمور.

By the end of the night, the family was closer than ever, enjoying the family moments and shared memories, and Samira discovered the importance of honesty and good preparation in things.

بهذه الطريقة، انتهى الإفطار بفرح وضحك، وسط حلاوة الحلوى... ولكن بلا حكة!

In this way, the Iftar ended with joy and laughter, surrounded by the sweetness of the desserts... but without any itching!
