"Yes," Jaco nodded with a frown.

“Ek sien niks duidelik nie.

"I can't see anything clearly.

Ek wil nie ons dag mors deur na my bril te soek nie.

I don't want to waste our day searching for my glasses."

”Karin het haar hand op sy skouer gesit.

Karin put her hand on his shoulder.

“Kom ons help jy soek,” het sy vriendelik aangebied.

"Let's help you look," she offered kindly.

“Ek sal probeer sonder dit,” het Jaco hardkoppig besluit, hy gedink hy kan die ruïnes blindelings verken.

"I’ll try without them," Jaco stubbornly decided, thinking he could explore the ruins blindly.

Hy het voortgestap met half-gebakte selfvertroue.

He walked on with half-baked confidence.

Maar die lushof van ongedissiplineerde natuurskoon het hom gou laat afdwaal.

But the lushness of undisciplined nature soon led him astray.

Hy het gestruikel en uiteindelik in 'n groep bobbejane beland.

He stumbled and eventually ended up among a group of baboons.

Die skielike beweging het 'n chaos veroorsaak.

The sudden movement caused chaos.

Bobbejane het gegil en gejaag.

Baboons shrieked and raced.

Jaco het sy balans probeer behou, terwyl hy deur die rumoerige tropee probeer navigeer.

Jaco tried to maintain his balance as he navigated through the noisy troop.

In die middel van al die ontstelde diere het iets glinsterend op die grond gelê.

In the midst of all the disturbed animals, something shiny lay on the ground.

Dit was Jaco se bril!

It was Jaco's glasses!

Sy oë het ligtegemaak soos hy dit herken het en oor 'n paar klippe gestrompel het om dit op te tel.

His eyes lit up as he recognized them and stumbled over some rocks to pick them up.

Intussen het Karin en Thabo nadergekruip.

“Ons dog jy gaan 'n reis binne-in 'n epiese film hê,” het Thabo gelag.

"We thought you were going on a journey inside an epic film," Thabo laughed.

Jaco het sy bril aangesit en met 'n tevredenheid begin glimlag.

Jaco put on his glasses and began to smile with satisfaction.
